NO. I think HE should bring it back. That's messed up. What has it been now, 2 months of borrowing it?

So, shouldn't he have just bought one for his shop? Or better yet buy a new one for the club's shop? This dud is a scammer if I ever saw one.  :punish: x1000

It sucks when there are a handful of people that have keyes to the shop.  Same person has loaned it out to him both times now.  I more upset with the guy that loaned it out than the guy who has it.  I told him the first time it was the club's property and not his to give out, and guess what, he did it again.  Thanks to him, everything is now locked up.  So once it comes back, it will be there to stay.  not to mention, without his truck there anymore, he has no reason to come back.  I already let the church know what was going on, being they're the one's that funded the whole shop program, and they're not to happy about it.

I'm glad you told someone. I agree that the lender is majorly at fault but if the one with the dye knows what's going on, they should feel obligated to return the dye. No excuses.

Bakersfield: tuseday 7pm meeting at BAA shop building for calico run =]

ae racer

here are the pics of my jeep that i bought to replace the 4runner.

here is what the CL ad said

-5.5 Inch Rough Country Suspension Lift with sway bar quick disconnects.
-33 in all terrain tires with 70% tread left.
-1/4in and 3/16in steel front and rear bumpers (rear bumper has a swing out spare tire carrier)
-NEW brakes all around with NEW rotors and drums (brakes have less than 1000 miles on them)
-NEWLY Rebuilt Rear DANA 44 rear end. Geared to 4.56 with rare DANA Powerlok Positraction. Less than 1000 miles on the rebuild. All new seals, ring and pinion, and fully rebuilt posi. Armored.
-NEWLY Rebuilt front DANA 30 front end. New seals, NEW 4.56 ring and pinion. (less than 1000 miles on the rebuilt front end) Armored.
-NEW 1995 brake power booster and master cylinder (less than 1000 miles on the booster and master). It brakes very well.
-Newly rebuilt motor from S&J engines (about 2500 miles on the motor)
-Rusty's steering track bar
-Rubicon express cut and tap SYE kit.
-Rubicon express rear drive shaft
-Rubicon express steering box brace
-New polyurethane bushings all around
-Sony explode 6 speaker sound system
-Audiobahn 8 inch sub woofer with remote mounted in console
-NEW aluminum 3 core radiator
-NEW aluminum transmission cooler
-NEW fan clutch
-Passes CA smog. Just smogged in July.
-Comes with a Champion 8000lb winch that mounts on the front bumper.
-1/4in steel custom rock sliders
-New high-lift jack (mounted on swing-out rear bumper)
Other technical specs:
Engine - Jeep 4.0 (Renix)
Transmission - Aisin-Warner AW4
Transfer case - NP-242
Although it drives just fine, there is some work that needs done to make this a great jeep. Here's what it needs:
- New Throttle position sensor (or it needs adjusting)
- It has a cracked flex plate (hairline crack) Knocks at warmer temps because of this
- The bearings in the transfer case need replacing
- It has a high-flow Flowcooler water pump that makes it great for off-roading but it pumps water at such a high volume that it runs kinda warm on the freeway. It runs very cool at slow and 4x4 speeds. If you intend to do a lot of highway driving I would recommend a stock water pump.
- Tranny cooler return line needs to be replaced as it leaks a bit
I recently took a job in the south bay and need the money to get a commuter car. Like I stated earlier, I have over $5k in recent upgrades and all in all with the bumpers and lift, there is over $9k of work into this Cherokee. It has a ton of potential and can also make a great parts Jeep if you already have another project you're working on. The rebuilt Dana 44 with the Posi and new gears is worth over $1500 on it's own (for older Jeeps, these things are very rare and the DANA Powerlok posi makes it even more rare).

superyota

so are you taking it to calico this weekend with us?

I have had 33x12.5x15 on 15x8 and 15x10. The 10s were nice for the street and took a lot of damage offroad.

ae racer

so basically the 12.5 tires and 8" rim are the way to go b/c they protect the rim more.

jrock

That's the idea. 10" rims are better for wear on a 12" tire and the street but for offroad a 8" is best.
