Jack the front up. Slap an angle finder on the back side of the rotor/Spindle/hub? If you wait till the morning i can check.

Ive heard they even make camber shims for the solid axle.
If you see it, its for sale.

TacoRunner,

I just found some alignment specs in my '85 FSM.  They are in the back in the specs section under "front axle."

Camber is 1* plus or minus 45'.

Caster has 2 settings - one for a truck and one for a 4runner.

                truck= 2* 15' plus or minus 1*
                4runner= 3* plus or minus 1*

SAI (steering axis inclination) is 9*30' plus or minus 45'

You are my hero, infact now I see that my 1am drunken post was wrong to begin with,  :smack: it is the steering inclination I need not the camber any ways. So in a none  :stopit: kinda way I :love: you. This may be safer  :beerchug: yep lets just stick with that one.

ha, NO. Im doing a chart on scrub radius for the mag, and I want to chart/graph what it takes to get zero scrub radius from a given tires size.

Cool.  I've heard the term scrub radius before, but don't remember what it is or why it's important.   It will be nice to get a little refresher coarse.  I took that alignment classes too long ago, and now without me working on cars for a living anymore, I'm getting a little rusty.

As far as i know camber is the tilt in and out of the wheel.

http://www.driftclub.gr/v3/images/stories/faq/camber_angle.jpg[/img]

and caster is the angular displacement from the vertical axis

So the rotor is on the same camber as the wheel and would give you the angle? Am I wrong?

Also cool idea, If you had a billet high steering arm, you could ofset the pin and change the camber? I dunno If it would be a good idea or help, but cool to think about.

Props for BUDDERS for just throwing that out.

Funny camber video!

Zippo, you sir are correct.  And if you're wondering about that post by TacoRunner, this might explain things:

taken directly from wikipedia for those that dont know....(for some reason chassis was one class i remembered from school)

scrub radius is the distance in front view between the Steering Axis and the center of the contact patch where both would theoretically touch the road. The steering axis is the line between the top pivot point of the hub and the lower ball joint of the hub. On a MacPherson strut, the top pivot point is the strut bearing, and the bottom point is the lower ball joint. The inclination of the steering axis is measured as the angle between the steering axis and the centerline of the wheel. This means that if your camber is adjustable within the pivot points (i.e. Volkswagen) you can change the the scrub radius, this alters the width and offset of tires you can safely run on your car.

.......

Ok now lets talk about Ackerman Angle  YAY
Those are some huge welds!
