Can anyone tell me what the proper caster angle should be? I am measuring by sliding a rod through the knuckle bearing holes, and measuring the angle from there.
Is that the proper way? Does anyone have any suggestions?

Thanks

:yikes:

I take mine down to Les Schwabs for a "checkup" and they go through the front end and tell me where its at and give me a printout or what its doing and where its supposed to be.  Easy fix fromt here. ;)
Full hydro, 186:1 with an auto and 44's what could go wrong??

I usually set my degree finder accross the top of the bearing hole. I think stock is 7 or 8 degrees, but i'm not positive. I have mine set way further than stock to try and get a little better turning radius off road and try and prevent death wobble and wonder.

whats yours set at Fireball?
Is it working o.k. for you?

I think i'm at around 12. Kinda looks a little like a grader when I turn. Seems to have helped some, but my steering is a bit unusual so I may have some other issues going on, like akerman angle.
Have a good friend who did this on his cruiser and he was very happy with how it worked. More of an off road set up though. Would probably wear tires faster on a daily driver.
