I don't know so much work and time is put into one that its hard to put a price on it. Maybe $800-1000 for the fab work i tried to ask a local shop and they didn't want to do plate because of the time thing to.I don't know how much metal would cost i had this stuff laying around and it seems to be not that cheep here in the bay area. Thanks for the interest just wanted to make something clean and tight. :beerchug:

Turned out pretty badass. i had contimplated a plate bumper, but kicked it to the side as it seemed much to time consuming. Looks like it's faster than a tube bumper in a way! Great work. diggin the beer holder on the front!  :beerchug:

The local fab/steel supply shop I deal with said they would have to sell my style bumpers for about $1200 to break even, and would be giving them away at $1000.  I have never clocked how long it takes me to build one either, looking at one I had in their shop they figured it would be about 10hrs/bumper which would put their labor at $1k.

From my experience w/plate bumpers they are a lot like half doors for the hobby fabricator, it is awfully hard to get any real value for the amount of labor that is involved with producing them.

thought about bolting but i like the strength and ease of welding to the frame i can cut off if need be.

I didn't think it would cost that much when i built it but i see the cost now shop prices are crazy.

I love plate bumpers, great job. I did a plate bumpers for my Toy the front took about a week to get everything cut, fit, welded and ground, the back quite a bit less time maybe two days. Oh yeah and a $100+ worth of steel for each.

I agree.  It's something to enjoy but I don't plan on someone giving me what I believe it's worth.  I built an Aluminum winch bumper thats bolted to a steel welded on bracket.  With the 8k warn I would say around 2500.  Call me crazy but it has more sentimental value I spose.  Cheers

My new winch in the bumper finally.

Its a Warn XD 9000I Fits pretty good had to cut the grill to fit it in but i like the way it sets back into the grill.

Now for a little tube work and it should be done.

I'm tied up with work and fixing up a new house.  If someone has a tube bender in San Jose area and wants to make a little side cash let me know and i could get it all wrapped up.  Thanks man.  :beerchug:
