So what would you take to make one up for me
I don't know so much work and time is put into one that its hard to put a price on it. Maybe $800-1000 for the fab work i tried to ask a local shop and they didn't want to do plate because of the time thing to.I don't know how much metal would cost i had this stuff laying around and it seems to be not that cheep here in the bay area. Thanks for the interest just wanted to make something clean and tight.
The local fab/steel supply shop I deal with said they would have to sell my style bumpers for about $1200 to break even, and would be giving them away at $1000. I have never clocked how long it takes me to build one either, looking at one I had in their shop they figured it would be about 10hrs/bumper which would put their labor at $1k. From my experience w/plate bumpers they are a lot like half doors for the hobby fabricator, it is awfully hard to get any real value for the amount of labor that is involved with producing them.
so i guess you just welded it to your frame? how come you didnt make it bolt on?
got it put on and welded up god dam this is strong way more than i thought.
