The water canal behind the shop runs all throughout Fresno and about once a year someone dies after falling in. Last year, when the water was low, Andy drove his buggy down and across the canal just to see if he could do it.

Yeah, too much on that hare thing,

Should just say Marlin Crawler

Thats it, just Marlin Crawler, I dont think anybody would have a question about that.

But it does look good.

About the steering box.

Aren´t you afraid that it will brake off ???

I can imagine that you will be giving it a lot more stress than we do here in Iceland. And I don´t think that it will last long here in the snow! ???

Nice job with the photoshop MiniSimp!

We won't be using the "wild hare" logo after all. It will just be a simple "Marlin Crawler Formula Toy Rock Crawling"

We are not worried about the steering box mount. It's much stronger than what Toyota uses and has 4 bolts instead of 3. Look at how the gusset ties into the frame. The gusset goes right up next to the bolt holes.

Anyone can make a rig over built and heavy. It's the ligher rigs that perform the best so rather than add more steel we have designed everything to be lightweight and only add steel where it's needed. We can put the truck next to a tree and turn the wheel. As the wheel goes into the tree the truck is slid to the side. The steering box mount does not flex even under this stress.

ok I didn´t see the 2 bolts going through the frame I thought it was just bolted on with the 2 bolts that are on top.

Marlin and Rocky are giving it a workout in Moab this weekend. I just spoke with Marlin a few minutes ago and he said they did Upper Hellderado. There were a few small problems with the buggy included a failed battery, blown up alternator and a bad thermostat. Marlin is taking photos, look for them next week.

Hmm Im gonna go out on a limb and say the regulator went south in the alternator thus cooking the battery.  When the battery shorted out the alternator cooked itself.  Ya think Ive had that happen before?
Full hydro, 186:1 with an auto and 44's what could go wrong??
