Just got here and heres my story...
« on: Sep 17, 2009, 10:28:23 AM »
Hello all!
So here is my story...
After knowing Marlin and the whole gang for quite a few years now I kind of got hooked on Toyota's and 4-Wheeling. My first experience was Rubicon about 3 or 4 years ago and it was so much fun that as soon as I got back I bought a 87 4-Runner (Like within a week  ) I began to collect parts for a long time and was going to do all the work myself but after long deliberation I decided to let Marlin and his gang do all the work.
Boy am I glad I did! There is no way I could have fixed some of  the major problems that my rig had on it. I have to say I couldn't be happier with the job that they did on my rig and would recommend to anyone to let them do the work if you want it done right.

They are simply the BEST!!!

Marlin pretty much beat his brains out on my electrical system  :hammerhead: and Rocky put the sweetest welds ever all over my rig Jeff put some of his finishing touches on it too and now its pretty much trail ready.

I wanna thank them for all their hard work and cant wait to go out and wheel with them soon. :turtle3:

I'm gonna post the progression pictures in this thread so you can see all and I mean all the work that they did. Basically I can say that they resurrected an old beat down 4-Runner with not much hope into a modern-day Rock Tractor! Its a beast and there is still more work to be done but I am so happy with this thing that I could just scream :shocking:Check it all out and let me know what you think.

Thanks!
Praise God for my Rocktractor!!!!!!!

Ok, when you click on the REPLY link to reply to this thread, below the area where you enter text there is a link that looks like this:

Additional Options...

Click on that and options will drop down through which you can use the Attach feature to attach up to 8 pictures to each of your posts

Or, if you store your photos elsewhere on the net, you can use the following code to insert them inline with your post:

Code: [Select]

So the [ img ] tag is used to insert images, like this:

Code: [Select]

will produce the following:

Sorry guys I was gone for the weekend and I had no time to get on the forum :willynilly: I spend all my time on the weekends with my family in church and serving God, but I will try to put up some more pics as soon as I can.
I have a lot of pictures but they are all in high quality and it takes forever to make them small enough to fit on this forum. I will get some up soon though I promise

And yeah Marlin came and picked it up @ my shop, you should have seen him digging in my parts bin getting everything he needed, it was funny! He was like a kid in a candy shop. He is one of the kewlest people I know and the amount of passion he has for Toyotas is second to none.  :clap2:

If you are running Win XP like any normal human being, then I highly recommend Microsoft's Image Resizer Powertoy (filename: ImageResizerPowertoySetup.exe, size 520 KB)

This program is extremely simple and efficient. Install it and then browse to your folder containing your pictures. Select the picture(s) you want to resize (hold down Ctrl and click on each file to select multiple files), and then right-click on one of them. The right-click menu will popup. Locate and click on "Resize Pictures". A small, simple dialog box will appear from which you can resize pictures automatically. I have limited picture resolutions here to be 800 pixels wide and 800 pixels tall, so resize accordingly. I usually use the Small 640x480 option, but if I have a pic with more detail I want to show, then I'll go with the Medium 800x600 size.

The new, resized pictures will be saved in the same folder as the originals with "(Small)", "(Medium)", etcetera appended to the new file's filename-

You could highlight all of the photos in your directory and do this procedure for a simple 1-mouse click resize process of thousands of pics

I went up for 2 days and did everything...so I drove there from Madera and wheeled hard for 2 days and then drove all the way home.

Thats the truth! I cant believe it either. You know what they say "When life gives you lemons... take them to Marlin, he will make you sweet lemon juice"   :bananabeer: Because I have a sweet ride now!

Very nice looking runner. Why did you take the roll bar out?

:hammerhead: The lemon didn't come with one...

Now all I need is to fix a few minor problems and get Beadlock's, Tires, and make a inside roll cage. Then maybe headers, flowmaster and whatever else will give me a little more engine power...  :driving:
