last i was over there he still had that 84 supra,  we need to find out if the autotrannied supra motor will bolt up to your auto tranny

Is the axle in good condition?

Glen remember that my tranny and transfer case are mated...so the housings might be different or something...that is why i dont think they will fit

swampy,  look and see if the bellhousing comes off,  your tranny


fireimp,   the one im thinking of needs rotors, but you would want fj40 rotors anyway with your ifs calipers

hey yall im originally from houston but moved out west to midland tx about 18 months ago. i've still gotta save up a little more money to buy my neighbors 86 4runner but soon as i've got it fixed up and a little gas money i'll join yall anywhere in texas(school permitting) probly be around mid febuary before i've got it all fixed up

i've got a question, how hard would it be to rebuild a w56 tranny? the 4runner im gonna buy from my neighbor barely runs right now, fuel delivery system needs to be cleaned out because he left gas sitting in it for 4 years so its turned into some kind of jello. he says that the tranny worked when he last drove it except for 5th and reverse. so would it be cheaper to buy a replacement tranny or to rebuild this 1? i've found a w56 tranny for 210(shipping included)

$200 aint bad for a w56 if its in good condition , 
well i got another 22 block today its been bored .020 oversize and has some KB9059H  pistons,   but i gotta get rings and bearings already got the gasket set

Well look at it this way...get a used tranny (that you dont know the history of) or get a rebuild kit and make sure everything is nice and dandy....just a thought.....oh and when you get err done you need to come out wheeling out here with us !!!
