DUDE!!!  Finally another member in town!!   :willynilly:

Hey, if you need anything from Marlin, I'm headed to Fresno Sunday!  I'm picking up parts from the man himself.  For my front axle.

So, where do ya work, and whats your name (real)?  I bet you can't figure out where I work?  :nope:  :rofl2:  If you know Rick at Carquest, just ask him about Ryan Zwald.  He'll say I'm a no good SOB who brings him fresh white curd in trade for parts!   :blah:

Yeah, I remember you.  I just put in a 22re from Dieter in it.  Since I didn't want to mess with the turbo motor.  Cost twice as much to build, and then dealing with the turbo.  :shake_head:  Yeah a little more oomph would be nice, but if I want that, I'll build this one up more, or swap in a 3rz later.  The turbo motor ran, just needed gone through, leaking out of both main seals, like a waterfall.  I just wanted to start new.  At the bottom of my signature, is the link to what I did to get it going.  Cooks made me a good deal on it, and it was the best deal I saw out there.  Body was in better shape than any of them I saw for more.  Even though I'm running with a 3rd gen bed.  :rofl2:  I'm just gathering parts for my SAS, slowly but surely.  One free piece at a time.  You wouldn't happen to have any straight axle hubs or ifs?  Rick says he has some, but doesn't know where in the brush.  :shake_head:

this is how i got er.... stock with a smashed front left...

i replaced the inner fender, part of the core, and the outer fender

and the truck didnt even make it out of the garage before it did a IFS hub swap/matched by a IFS rear also....both stuffed with 5.29s, rear is welded front has a powertrax? i believe

that was all good for a while untill i got the 33's and they rubbed the front fenders.... so i did an RUF swap
shocks are limiting travel in these pics which i will leave till i get longer brake lines

after the ruf i needed a longer front D-line so i made one outa square.... was sorta loud and klunky tho so i ended up maken a round one and am going to use the square shaft for a spare... with my rufs the front shaft only had a 4" stroke which the stock shaft supplies (or has so far) just needed to be 3 inches or so longer

i also had the weber hillclimb blues so i did a weber 180, and a fuel bowl vent mod....

All these pics and i dont even got anything recent lol....i will take some and put them up later.... but thats my story

WAY UP there!!     I know that drive very well.  It's one of my favorite drives.  Mainline Kilchis, to Smith Wright, to FB3, (over to triangulation, dads ashes are there) and down Prowdy.  Thats if I don't go off the back side of Triangulation and come out on the Salmonberry.  It's been awhile since I've done that trip.  It's a good trip.
