Ok now Im starting to think, its too clean. You can have a nice looking vehicle on the trail, but what makes it different than anybody elses?

You do have a nice looking vehicle, but are you satisfied with that?

I want people to look at my rig, and say (what is he bringing that thing out here for?)

Not that I want all the chrome and  :bling: factor, but I want people to look at my vehicle and say, wow, thats nice, not wow, thats clean. A little different, maybe not the stock toyota color, or other regular stuff.

Just a thought. Dont get me wrong, if thats what you want, then thats ok, but do you want more?

You got to trim the wheel wells or you will eat tires and even get stuck on the trail. When my truck would flex like this I could only go straight, if I had the wheel turned the tire would bind against the rear of the wheel well. Its been cut since.

I do understand what you mean.  But for now, I am happy with it.  This is the way I bought it, and why not keep it clean as long as I can.  I do not intend to go out and thrash it, but I'm going to wheel it and I'm sure that, in time, it won't be so clean and straight anymore.  Actually, I'm pretty inexperienced, so the damage may happen sooner than later

I did move the axle forward 1.5" but I think it may still rub right where you described.  I'll be keeping a close eye on it.

By the way, where did you get your fender flares?

Went up to the snow and played around a little last weekend.  Not many pics.  The white truck popped a bead (inner and outer).  It took us awhile but we did get it fixed.  Thought we might have to put the spare on, but we didn't after all.  Other than that one little incident, it was a great day.  Fun!

man!! your truck is looking good!  i suggest keeping it as clean as possible for as long as possible.  when i first got mine and modified it i thought that it was cool to have body damage but when everyone talked to me about it and everyone asked if it were going to stay together it got on my nerves.

it just snowed here in denver about 30" and man i wish i hadnt started my 1/4 elliptic yet   i wanted to be out in the snow messing arround

Hey man, I met the guy in the white truck at Voyager Rock camp ground a few years back. Him and his girl were real cool from what little I can remember :boozer: We got tanked and had a sing along session to some old music he had. Man did we sound good :boozer: I can't remember his name but we did a little wheelin on the top of Chicken Rock. Here is a couple pics

Yup, and crossover steering.  The bad news is that I am out of money for awhile :rivers: I'll just have to be careful.

Hey you have a pretty good memory.  That sounds exacty like him!l  I can picture that whole seen in my head.  His name is Dave and he is the one responsible for getting me into wheeling.  The girl you remember is my little sister.

I had fun with them. We'll all have to hook up for a weekend of wheelin and fun. Nice job on the Runner too  :beerchug:

By the way, where did you get your fender flares?

The fender flares are old... I dont think anybody makes them anymore. A few more hits and they will probably be done anyway. Yes, my axle is also forward of stock (i think thats called caster) about 1.5" and it will still bind against the rear of your front wheel wells. Try a flex test with the wheels turned left or right to get accurate data. Your options will be to just go straight when articulating or to cut a little metal . -- aloha
