Halladay

i only grounded down the booger welds and fliped the cage over and welded the spots were he didnt. the welds were not bad the penintrated but they didnt look good.

Halladay

Ok so here are pics of the progress i got today...
-grounded down some welds on the cage welded over some, painted the cage
-tour apart my top shif case for my duals and welded diff armor on the rear axel
-cut off the front bumper so the cage can go on
-wired wheeled the crawl boxed and got her shinny
ok look at the last picture of the t case and tell me how to get this gear out? its pi**ing me off

this pic right above this is the gear i need to get out. how do i get it out? yes i took the snap ring out and the tension pins holding the shift rail on.. do i just beat the hell out of it?

Halladay

from the out put side or the toward the gears right?

GhostMoney

take a rubber mallet so you dont damage output and hit the end of the output shaft, should pop right off. When I did my gears I had to do the same

toyotanner

use a press or in some cases i've got it out with a hammer

Halladay

ok cool im going to try and get that out today and bolt the addapter plate to the crawl box. then im ordering my clutch and rear main as well as cutting my fenders to match my cage. ill let you guys know if i get it out

Halladay

just got done cutting the fenders it looks alright... it will look alot better with the cage on. i cut them to match the bottom tube on the cage so they are going to overlap then i painted the whole inner fender.

potter85

have been thnking about cutting my fenders like this for a while but still havent done it... still up in the air about it... looks good

looking for 38s

2 tundra 4.7l v8 soon to be sas'ed

Halladay

now that i have done it... dont cut the stock body line running up the truck(the one running flush with the door. i have like 2 inchs from the door to the out side of the fender. give yourself about 5 and it will look alot better. my is going to be covered with the cage so i dont care lol

Halladay

got the cage set on and going to tack the rear in place and take my truck to bufallo welding and my buddy has a hydrolic bended there and we are going to re bend the tube going to the front of the sliders. here is some pics of the cage with the hack job fenders....

the cage makes it top heavy when im maxing it out. once the tire starts to pick up it really trys to go over lol

Halladay

just picked up my frontrage offroad x-member/skidplate combo.

the only problem im seeing is my stock t case mont dont bolt up to the skid plate does the skid plate just work as a solid mount? i think it does but im just making sure. any one running the x-members?

"The Front Range Off-Road Fabrication Skidplate, can only be installed once the Crossmember is installed. It bolts onto the existing holes in the transfer case, where the factory rubber mount was originally bolted"

Halladay

duals are in. but the x-member is not welded in yet. i have two problems my front case is shifting fine and noww my rear case will not shift. i cut the rails but i guess i have to cut more... or what else could it be? and heres a pic of my second problem... with my flat belly and duals it puts my out put shaft about 3 inchs from gas tank x-member. what can i do here? i have seen ppl just cut it out and i have seen ppl weld a hoop to it. but my case is pushed up so much it wont fit anything above the flange. i have maybe 3 inchs. i need advise! thanks guys
