Fluid
« on: Jun 14, 2009, 02:05:34 PM »
I just had my W56 rebuilt and neither my transmission or transfer case has any fluid in it right now.

Does anyone know what the best gear oil is for this transmission and how much does it take to fill back up?

Thanks

3 quarts for the W56, 1.5 quarts for your Crawl box, and 2 quarts for your transfercase.

I don't have a crawl box.... I've just got the w56 and transfer case...

I bought some Lucas Oil 80/90... 3 for the W56, and 2 for the transfer case... Got it.....

Is the lucas oil dino or synthetic?  You'll wanna run dino for breakin.
