Here is my 85 I bought a few weeks ago.  Right now it has a 6 in lift, 63" chevy springs, 33" tires, the transfer case was worked but I don't know what gears are in it.  Getting ready to install 5.29's locker and high steer and 35" hoping to get in a major install session!

86 that a buddy and I just finished building- more or less a  :turtlehead: catalog  as it sits now- hopefully get the PSC stuff on tomorrow and tub the fenders this weekend

roytoyota83

Do you have any pics of cutting the rear fenders??

JDirt

as far as what? We basically went right to the top of the 'fender' where it flared out with the pasma cutter. I basically cut it up to where I wanted it, then cut out the adjoining inner fender, tack welded the inner fender to the bedside and then trimmed the excess. This method will save you a decent amount of metal since you are re-using at least 1/2 of the old fender metal.  The reason for the long tall cut is that the WB is now 112". The stock rear rollbar mounts got cut out at the rear due to tire clearance. I trimmed off the rear 1/4 panel too since we put a 2nd gen pickup tailgate on it.  I just got my consumables in the mail today so the rear fenderwells will be finished. I dont think I have any pictures of the fender cutting process though, sorry. There's alot of pictures in the photobucket, not sure all of what lol.

Got it, I thought maybe he was refering to the nice piece of trim on the skate board behind the half door. Yea the my fenders are cool too :) They actually let the whole 40 stuff inside.
