Which head and cam combo
« on: Apr 22, 2009, 07:03:12 PM »
My block, crank and rods are currently in Fresno being being machined.

I am now deciding which head and cam combo

Stay stock with something like Davez  http://www.davezoffroadperformance.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=8

stock from engbldr http://www.engnbldr.com/toyota_heads.htm or his street RV head with a 268 or 261c cam??

What do you suggest? Is the performance head/cam worth the extra $$$

My 4runner is currently a stock daily driver but will eventually get a lift with gears, 35" tires, etc

The EB Street RV Head with the 268c is what i plan on going with. Just wanted to check and see if it made a difference before i purchase it. I will be running my stock exhaust manifold and exhaust sytem for a while till i can afford to upgrade to a good header and full exhaust sytem to help open it up a bit.

Thanks for all the advice. I went ahead and ordered EB street rv head with the 268 cam. Can't wait to try it out.
