What size are those spacers?  What they coming off for?  IFS hub conversion?
IFS is best kept at ambient temperature in a pile of scrap in the backyard.  When kept under a functioning vehicle, it tends to greatly diminish said vehicle's offroad ability.     -reklund5

well, i finished up the sas today, had to move the steering box about 4 inches foreward...what a PITA!

then i pulled it out, turned it around, and took the rear end apart.

plans for the rear are- 2 inch coil spacers, and sleeve the control arms with 1.5 dom and add johhny joints at one end.

they will be 2 inches longer, adjustable, and flexible.

im not sure about the final ride hieght, i may need to add oldmanemu coils later

Bobbed 84 xtra cab, pickin up parts as I go.

If at first you do not succeed, put it in 4low and try again.

crawlerdan

today i wired my e locker in, an auxilary fuse panel, my kc lights, and i pulled off my 3 inch wheel spacers in favor of the 1.5s.

the front axle is stoopid far foreward, i love it (although getting the steering box up there sucked)

with the rears up front its moved a total of 5.5 inches ahead of centerline, leaving me with my favorite wheelbase :D -111 inches....its my magic wheel base, my triple cased 85 was 111, the 87 runner was 110, i like it.

pumkin toy

5.5 inches! holy crap! thats awesome.   i really want to move my front axle forward a bunch more too

not sure on the framwe height, as it isnt done yet, ill have the rear done later this week. should be around 25.5-26.5 with 37s. the 87 was 28 and this one is waaaaay lower so far

crawlerdan

oh and teh hanger is 2.5 inches foreward of the factory x mamber, the plate you see in the pics is part of the warn bumper, not the frame. combine that with 1.5 inch movement for the rears up front, and the fact that the hanger was drilled for 1.5 inches foreward to begin with...and you get magic wheel base (for me at least  :yesnod: )

offroadin88

well it looks bitchin when you get to flexing it out let us know how much up travel you are getting

THK Matt

well then ill make a hanger and mount it 1-1.5in forward from what an 85 stock hanger would be.

Cause I'd like to have it forward more then most.

Looking good Dan!  :beerchug:

Are you going to have to trim a little out of the front bumper?

when it happend i will, im still debating on what exactly to do

crawlerdan

well today i whipped out the plasma and made some brackets to raise the panhard bar about 5 inches, this is a must when lifting a 5 link

i used 1/4 hardened plate

i also replaced the factory rubber bushings with a 2.5 wide poly joint and it is adjustable :D

i even rewelded the lsvp valve on the track bar :D

crawlerdan

i hope this is way overkill :turtle3:

you ordered new ones? what kind? Allpro?
um... no- they arent as long as i want and wouldnt do custom lengths...and i dont like heims for street driven vehicles as they wear poorly and are costly to replace, im using curie johnny joints that are fully rebuildable :D

95toyrunner

So you bought parts to make your own upgraded links?
