Well I got some work done today and i really went well for winging it....

Got the radiator flushed, and it was bad it had 1/4in of lime scale build up on the top of the rad core...

got the radiator out, 7 years of leaves packed between the ac coller and radiator, and cut out the stock fan...

and got the new radiator in with the new taurus fan, and one of the things made me super happy is I got the radiator overflow mounted back in the stock location by building a new bracket to hold it..

I also found some power steering ideal operating temperatures and found that I should be running around 210 and since thats what my motor runs at I found I could use the tranny cooler as my hydro steering cooler and cleaned up things even more, got rid of some hose and overall I am super stoked,, left on my list is...

the jeep is much quieter now its a pretty cool mod

finnish panhard bracket
front bumper
rear bumper
sliders
and belly up t-case...
then wheel it for the rest of the year and start a new list for next year....

well it took about 5 hours but I got my jeep apart and back togetherI now have just below 17in of belly clearance which is just an inch lower than when I had my lift (but now my frame height is only 18 in which it was just over 22 before)  , my skid plate is 1in down from the frame gaining me almost 3in.  I actually had it up high enough to flat belly it completly but my rear driveshaft will bind too soon if I push it up any more unless I get a hp ford nine in the rear...

Im using lengthened stock for now, and this fall I will be getting a shipment of heims and start building my new link arms...

thanks yella and hilux im super excited especially with all the tight trails around here...

I picked up the flat stock and some sweet 1 off shifter nobs for the twin sticks...  its going to be those little hand ratchets facing in opposite dirrections... so when your shifting 4hi and 4 low it will be like a normal shifter and opperate as a unit then the little nobs will be easy to deal with to shift individual... not sure if that makes sence but I will take pics when I start working on it...

Well I had a little change of plans,I was going to plate the rear door and then reinforce the factory hinges then throw my tire on there, well I wasnt sure if it would work but the plate would have been 40 extra lbs on the door...  So then I came across this tire carrier and it was everything I needed, it opens and shuts with the rear door, no extra latches or anything, its hinges bolt through the body to some 1/4in brackest that attach it to the roll cage and frame so there is no stress on the body!  I couldnt be happier, got it all put together last night and modded it for my backspacing..  Now I just need to weld on some tabs for my high lift and I will be one step closer to be ready for wheelin!

Well spent a few hours and built the front and rear bumpers...  I still need to weld the d-rings on and weld in the reciever to the rear bumper, and decided how to reinforce the loop up front, but I got all the main stuff cut and welded...  I forgot to take pics of the rear bumper but its not much to look at yet without the reciever or d-rings...

cant do the top of the frame next to the grill since I will have the factory sway bar there for the time being..  I like the idea of going to the fenders but only if I can make it removable....  it would suck to have to remove the bumpers and fenders as one unit...

I still need to do a few things like cap the ends and gusset the outer corners then paint and bolt on...  Im pretty happy with how it looks, it gives a finnished look to the front that I havent had almost since I bought it...

sorry yeller your photoshop skills wernt good enoughto talk the wife into going back to the fenders and she didnt like how I wanted to keep the sides of the bumper square with frame so she had me put these sides on  and that gave a convenient place to run back to with some tubing...

Heres the final pics oft he front bumper..  I still have to trim the bolts that run through the bumper but its not going anywhere, its held on by 8 grade 8 bolts..  I used a textured paint so that the new steel on tubing would look more like the textured plate i used...
