Thats typical for pirate... Thats why i read up there and actually comment here.  Marlin def has more of a sense of community.  Pirate is littered with dead threads that couldve been resolved in 2 posts but end up carrying on over 5 pages of hassling.  Its a great source for information, but ill only come to Marlins board with questions...

I post on Pirate quite a bit more that I post on Marlin.  They both have good and bad things about them.  I will second the fact the Pirate has great tech, in fact, if you had spent some time searching I'm sure you would have found the answer to your question.  That's why they won't answer you right off, they expect you to put some effort into it first.  Marlin is a better site for newbie type questions and the people are more friendly.  It seems you have already had enough experience with both to make your decision where to stay.

Seriously.. You are pissed? You need to get some thick skin. There is so much info on Pirate that if you search, you would have figured it out. The first thing you would have figured out on your own was that you didn't have a 60. Get over it.

My view on it is most the people on pirate are there with nothing to do. And instead of answering someones question the talk to the person about not searching. Pirate is so big and has sommay threads i bet if you search 14 bolt you would come up with 1,000's of results. Which im sure any normal person doesnt have time to sift thru all that . I think pirate is
all about revenue from buying stars or advertising. So many people get screwed by vendors and pirate does nothing about it because they just care about advertising dollars even if its coming from vendors that are screwing the customers. I think its stupid that if anyone says anything negative about trail-gear they either get banned, thread locked, or the mods talk to them.

True, there are lots of people on Pirate, therefore there are many that just go there to talk shiat and flame people without ever offering any tech of their own.  It's a by product of them being so big.  I know it can also be difficult to sort through pages of search results looking for something that's actually useful, but it is possible and you just might learn something that you weren't exactly looking for.  

FYI, there is more to Pirate than just the bulletin board.

Like I said, if you flat out don't know then ask here or on yota tech.  hell even Pirate has a noob section and technically you weren't asking a yota question so it should not have been asked in there in the first place.  I'm not bagging on you not knowing, I'm bagging on you for asking on pirate.

I was just giving WT a little  even on here we get tired of people asking questions that have been asked 1000 times. we are just a little nicer. Several of us(including myself) have been know to lash out over a stooopid question. I'm not saying yours was, i'm just saying it's the way of the internet.
