thank you!   I am using the fox 2.0, 14" travel air shocks.  For the most part i like them, but i am having issues with them leaking down.  I think the fronts are working good now, but the rear keeps leaking down after a few trailrides.  i have had people tell me that when they have a high nitrogen pressure in them then they like to leak down.  I think max is 500 psi and i have mine at about 400.  i think I would be better off with 2.5 air shocks, but i couldnt afford them!

The 4runner is looking great man!  I really like the tire carrier.

The last batch of pics were pretty awesome too!   especially when the cameraman focused on the little blondie. :wink2:

my junk worked pretty damn good!  it started running goofy on the last day though and i havnt figured out why yet.  the only thing I am having problems with right now is my stock steering pump isnt nearly powerful enough to keep up with the full hydro steering. so i ordered a "TC" style 1650 psi pump from low range off road and it showed up today!!  also my front main seal blew and i have to take the timing belt and everything off to replace it, so i need to tear into that soon.  I figure while i have the front end apart doing the main seal i will make a bracket to fit up the new PS pump.
I wish you could have made it down, we miss you every time you cant make it

its been a little while since i have posted some updates so heres a few.  I had to take the front of the engine apart to replace the front main seal so i just did all the seals while it was apart.  front main, cams, oil pump seal, valve cover gaskets are all new now. while i had the valve covers off i cleaned them up and painted them black.  i also got a "TC" style full hydro steering pump put on too.  made a custom bracket and whatnot for that.  It made a huge difference in the quality of the steering.  It feels good to be in the rocks and turn aired down 40" tires with a locked front end only using a couple fingers on the wheel!  So here are some pics of the work. Nothing to exciting, just maintenance work really

and going back together nice and clean

Pics of the new pump setup

while my rig was apart a few guys from our club went wheelin.  i rode with my dad and took pics.  his truck is the green mini truck with no hood.  I did all the tubework on his a few months back.  Also the fj-40 is the one that i did all the fabwork on a few months ago also. On that one i did the full cage with seat cradle, tube fenders, front bumper/grille hoop, and also the rear swing out tire carrier

Heres a few new pics from a wheelin trip a couple weeks ago.  i also need to get some pics of the new work i have done on it lately.  these pics are about the only ones my buddy got of my rig.  this is an obstacle on one o our trails called Hal Jons.  this waterfall used to be alot easier before that massive boulder fell into the bottom!  Now you have to crawl around the boulder and then turn left and up the waterfall

heres a not so great pic of right when i got to the top, still gives a good perspective though.  that huge boulder down in the bottom used to be up top right next to the other big one.  plenty of rain one year finally knocked it down to the bottom

here are a few pics of me driving a friends buggy that he just finished.  Its a sweet rig, atlas case, portal axles, 39 sticky crawlers, supercharged 3.4. It pretty much goes anywhere.  He owns a fab shop in CO called Bump It Off-Road.

what's that rear bench seat out of?

i think it came out of a dodge caravan, like a 97 or something.  ita cheap and fits pretty good when you have a narrowed body!

here are some pics of the skidplate i built recently.  its all quarter inch plate.  I just welded some half inch coupler nuts to the inside of the framerails for the plate to attach to.  I like the setup because it is seperate from my drivetrain crossmember. This way i can pull the plate off to work on stuff without having to get a jack or something under the truck to hold up the cases. I'm about an inch away from flatbelly so thats nice.
