Nice Runner. I always liked the other truck as well. As for the steering box, my tie rod is over my drag link end and to look at it you'd swear that they would hit under compression, but tie rod moves back with the axle and the drag link has plenty of room. Something to maybe test before moving the box (although by the looks of the other rig you probably will be "adjusting" wheelbase anyway)
thanks! yeah i hoped it might clear but no such luck  i flexed it out and the drag link landed directly on top of the tie rod! i gotta move the box forward like two inches. The front springs on this runner are all pro "extra length" springs so the axle is moved forward pretty far (which is good)

Any guy who takes his woman wheeling enjoys her. A woman who is owned is left at home to cook, clean, and keep beer cold. So if this offends you you should stop looking and go have some tacos.    :rofl2: And a beer. If your old enough.   :beerchug:

That's funny! Do I know you? I didn't get to drive it a whole lot lately, but I use to a lot and before that it was a daily driver.

Yeah, the MKIV is suppose to be really efficient and it's nice and compact so if you wanted to keep the hood support and not use the hood pins I gave you, you could just run that and install it right where the battery use to be. I think it should fit. If you decide to run a front mount and an A/C condenser, it would probably just be easier to cut out the hood support and run the hood pins.

I really must have missed the part about remounting the power steering gear box with high steer, because I had no idea that's what was needed. I only wheeled it once with the new steering and probably only put a few hundred miles on it total since the install. It pissed me off when I realized my brand new beautiful steering which I had wanted for years was hitting.

Did you open up all your "goodie" boxes? I won't be offended if you throw away a bunch of the stuff. But a lot of it could come in handy. Especially hang on to the extra motor mounts and stuff like that. Can't wait to see that thing in the bikini (finally)!

One thing you could think about, if you could be okay with ONLY 37" tires  you could just swap tires/wheels with the pumpkin and be okay with lowering your price...

You should start a new build thread.:twocents: You could even copy and paste some of these posts or something if you wanted. BTW, your phone takes awesome pics!

alright here are some pics. i couldnt find the camera so i had to use the phone.  I did some work to it already today, it had mud flaps all the way around that i removed, and i didnt like either one of the bumpers so i removed those too. I really dont like how tall it is so i will be removing a leaf from the front pack soon. also the guy i got it from recently installed the high steer kit. He didnt move the steering box forward from its stock location so now the drag link is directly above the tie rod end. I will have to fix that before i wheel it much. Tomorrow i'm gonna throw my 37's on it and see how it looks! should be killer. All in all i'm pretty happy with the rig! It hauls balls and its a pretty solid and well taken care of rig!
:rofl2: DUDE, I had to say something about this! I love how removed the mud flaps and bumpers, but left the garden trim fender flares on! :rofl2: I told you that you could remove those as soon as you crossed the Utah boarder. (The cheesy mudflaps also helped make it legal in UT)

i didnt leave the flares on. i just had'nt taken them off yet in some of those pics!  i took those off right away!  And i was thinkin about keeping the 37's on the runner and putting the 35's on the pumkin.  I really want bigger tires and wheels, but i got such a good deal on the beadlocks and tires, i should probly just keep em for a while. It would save me alot of money to not buy wheels and tires again.  Also i cut the exhaust off right after the cat today. holy crap it pulls hard in first and second now! :yikes:  just removing that muffler gave it a few more horses. plus it really isnt that loud, so i think i'm just gonna get a long tailpipe made for it and run it without a muffler.

just rock a 3 inch straight pipe with a resignator thats what my buddies turbd rx7 has on it and his old ca18 240sx the turbo keeps it quiet but it gives it enough flow they both get down for what they are and sound good to.

And why knock on the garden trimm fender flares I rocked em for a while haha.

I like how the open piping sounds with no muffler. it just sounds mean! but its not obnoxious in the cab, its really not loud at all!  oh i threw a stinger on the front tonight just to give it a little character. eventually it will get removed when i link it, but its cool for now.

Always have to rock a stinger but yeah it probably wouldn't be as loud in the cab if it dumped closer to the back for sure. The exaust on my truck is stupid loud outside but I cant hear it inside at all lol.
