MIL: Kyle, do you know some guy named Carlos?
Wife: Why would he know anybody named Carlos?
Me: Um...actually...I do know a guy names Carlos...why?
MIL: He dropped off a whole box of truck parts
Me: <wtf?> um...ok, I'll call Dave and find out why.

OK gang Cody is gonna run this beast at the next round up, job and schrool permitting, what is the least you would do to make it thru, easiest lines as possable, I would think

Hi-steer
Aussie in front and weld rear
Internal cage
33X12.50's

Runner has 4" lift
33X12.50
4.10's

gonna do motor and transmission real soon, dont know if funds will allow twin cases by then tho

histeer is unneeded. nice, but  unneeded. Do a Ball Flip and get an $80 drop drag link or make one. you should have bought my stuff off of me a while back. and if you aren't dumb, the cage isn't totally necessary (unless dave's daughter is going with you :P) the rest will be OK.  get used to not using the clutch and stalling it out since you are 4.10s and single case, otherwise you'll probably smoke the clutch.

without duals, locked f/r will really be beneficial. i was locked in the back with stock duals and locked up front would have seriously helped in a few spots. You're gonna need practice at Niagara before you take on the Con though. It ain't no joke if you're not ready.  Look at Dave's jeep. :_oops:

MiniSimp

Duals is a must, cage is optional but I would, at least rear locker.

20/20 hind sight, and yea, im not gonna be stupid, but im also green at this, and there will be some protection, perhaps only minimum.

Rock Sliders and a Rear Locker are an absolute must.  :yesnod:   IMHO.

dual cases would certainaly help.

sliders is kinda what i was considering as a "minimum" as far as exterior armor goes. although them marlin bumpers sure are purtty. lets not forget, i do have an interior cage already.

I say do sliders and diff gaurds for protection.   :bumpinbutts:

Then do lockers for traction.   :burnout:

Then do 4.7's for torque, but only if you don't want the expense or you don't have the time or money for all the fabbing to do duals before then. (drivelines, crossmember, floor mods and such)  :driving:

These things you surely won't have to undo later for the more typical upgrades.

This is how a buddy of ours truck was set up and he'd been through the 'Con a few times without any issues.

Also, as Duffil said, histeer would be nice but not absolutely mandatory.  :yesnod:
