Not to steel the tread but I want to build a crossmember too.  I really like this crossmemeber.  To mount this do you use the factory rubber mounts that normally go into the overkill factory crossmember.  I recognize the holes in the bottom of the plate i am just unsure how the transmision is mounted from there.  Do you have any pictures of the acctual mounting portion?

the xmember uses the std trans mount and bolts up to the factory mounting holes

Hey thanks those pictures do help.  I take it the welded plate in the middle is to raise the 4 little bolts that go into the rubber mount on the transmission itself up so they are protected from the rocks, or is it just extra thick to take the abuse?

Better pics, the recessed plates to protect the bolts. Rear case is rotated 10deg, MC07R10.

the small plate in the middle is to keep the lowest part of the trans case from knocking on the xmember and alsow alows the bolts to be resessed to keep a flat bottom
