Thats good. When I was looking at Trail Gears drive shaft kit it said not recommended for DD and be balanced. Thats why I was wondering. I've seen some that looked like factory shafts.

Maybe I'm missing something, but I typically don't use my FRONT DS for daily driving. When I'm wheeling, it really doesn't matter, 'cause it doesn't spin fast enough to worry about being completly balanced. I suppose if the rear DS blew up, it would be nice to have a balanced shaft for getting home.

Only if he had a shop build it that has the capability to balance the shaft

I mean times when it snows or the road is slick, you might not always be going 5mph or slower.

I think the TG splines are more comparable to a square tube shaft than a tight tolerance unit that can be balanced.  At least they advertise that it isn't designed to be balanced, but I'm sure people have made the purchase thinking it was the equal of the Marlin Crawler unit.

I don't know for sure, but I suspect the Marlin kit is the same, or similar, to the long travel splines used by Jesse at High Angle.
