89 = 1st gen runner.
89 = third gen truck.

88 is the last year for that style truck, but the 4runners didnt change until 90

The headlights are surely stock, but it almost looks as if somebody went and fawked with the original buckets...

I like 'em with IFS can have fun with them while it's still flexible and later on you can upgrade. The problem with that one is you can't really tell what year it really is, it may cause you some trouble if it's too new.

Just check the VIN code...its located inside the door frame if u know what i mean

I've seen some good forgery's, they switch those all the time and it doesn't matter weather you knew it or not when you get caught with one.
