Ladies and gents please put your hands together for my "new" street-legal 1972 Yamaha DT250 Enduro... 8)

That's right, she fires on the first kick!  Did I mention $300.00?

sweet, vintage bikes are cool.  I've had a few ol' DTs over the years and they are about as tough as nails.  Have a good time with it.

Are you gonna use it as a trail bike or are you going street legal?

I used to hang out at the Motor cycle club grounds at 101st and Broadway when I lived in Wichita.  Have you been there?  They have a few different racetracks and concessions and everything.  Tons of fun.

I love the smell of two stroke oil in the morning. Smells like victory.

A buddy loaned me his enduro two stroke one time.  Fun bike, and the best was the looks you get when you are at the light, and the guy next to you realizes your on a two stroke!

I love the old elsinores!  I'd love to have a vintage bike one day.  I had a 67-68 honda cl175, that was all in pieces, but never had time to put it together!

Supposedly the toughest thing about riding these is keeping the front wheel on the ground.

Bwahahahaha...I am enjoying exercising my 2nd amendment rights.  The 357 is great cause I can go to the range and shoot cheap 38 specials all day long and save the good rounds for the communists.

Oh :pokinit:....I HATE those old DT250s. Heavy as a damn truck, with about 4HP at 3500RPM.  :reg:

They are fun though.  Best thing is, you can wreck all day long, and you aren't going fast enough to get hurt.

Nice grab AJ!!

I kinda like the ribs, but if it gets old it should be pretty simple to swap to something different.

Duffil, I will def be going with gloves, helmet, jacket, etc.  I ain't no fool.  Plus, one objective with the bike is to drop some weight off of it.

Three coats of sandable primer on the tank and the levers came out really nice.  This thing will be done before I know it...well, faster if it wasn't 105 degrees out.

Actually, AJ, the high heat (assuming a low-ish humidity) will accelerate the rate at which your paint dries, thus making it "done before you know it".   Or something like that.
