boggerunner

got some of it torn down, we started to cut off the ifs brackets tonight, and here are the new used tires.  38/14.5/15 TSL's, and a bitchen pressure washer to  make things easier.

boggerunner

all of the ifs is finnaly off,      tomorrow we will grind off the framwe clean.  then finish replacing the timing chain, and wait for the sky full width kit to show up.  here is what it looked like earlier today before we busted out the torch    :flamer:

I'm gonna come over this evening and drink beer while I'm watching and being worthless.  Having no right hand is like being stuck in 2WD :stopit:
Go 1-Ton from the start

boggerunner

the timing assembly is done, and the sky full width kit is here.  tomorrow the axle will get its ass over here and then we can start making it look like a truck again.  I also got 2 of the tsl's mounted on the rims last night.

Birfailed

not really a whole lot to take pics of just yet
Go 1-Ton from the start

boggerunner

finally got the 60 mocked up in place with some stock leaves till the 5" lift ones get here next week.  the 15" rims with 4.25 backspacing will fit with minor grinding.  this thing looks sweet!

boggerunner

got some 5" lift springs installed, and some parts came in for the rear suspension, tg's creeper joints, shackels and 12" front shock towers.

This truck is going to be sick! how did you like the full width kit from sky?
1985 toyota SR5, 22re,  5.29's locked front and rear, duals with twin stick, longfields.

boggerunner

the front axle is getting 4.56 gears to match the rear.  looking for a locker for the 60, and the rear already has a detriot.  need to find some high steer arms.  im not sure where to get them from yet, anyboby have good luck from any particular company?
as for armor,   havent thought of it yet, but some diff covers made from 3/8" sound good.

the full width kit is sweet,   but i dont know why skymakes it to use chevy leaves?

bigarms23

for highsteer arms i used wfo concepts(530-268-9494 ask for trevor) and haven't been disappointed and my suggestion for a locker run an ox and for diff armor i like the ones from blue torch fab
88 4runner 2016 5.3 auto atlas 2 on tons and tons of fun

boggerunner

ordering some poly performance high steer arms with new studs tomorrow.   the front suspension is done, got the shackles on tonight.  tomorrow we will gut the rear for the 63" chevys and saginaw rearend with 4.56's and a detroit locker

boggerunner

tonight we got the bed off, and the rear axle pulled. 63" chevys are ready for pickup tomorrow morning at the junckyard

boggerunner

i welded up the hangers for the 63' chevy's and got the saginaw 10.5 bolted in place. i also mounted the other 2 swampers on the rims, and got the truck sitting on its own weight.  the rear is 1.5" lower than the front, but i have some steel 1.5" blocks to fix that.

boggerunner

no new progress, just some daylight pics
