Is anybody using Google Adsense?
I've just put it on my site, but don't entirely understand the pay structer.
Suposedly the more people click on the ads, the more I get?
Anyway, check it out and tell me what you think... http://www.simpson-photography.com/

I don't even seen any ads on your site, ya big goof

I saw one on the right and three across the bottom.

One of the ads across the bottom was for another photographer...even if he is in my area (from Google's tracking), do you think that's wise?

Cool...1/10th of 1% of one cent per thousand clicks! He needs to sell off his Microsoft stock for pocket change.

Doesn't matter to me, all of my photography is word of mouth.

i remember my dad talking about it awhile ago, he read about it somehwere, and said most people that used it liked it, but for some reason some of the smaller sites didnt. i know this sounds horribly vague, but ill ask him later tonight and see if he remembers anything.

Yeah, you can't expect to put it on your site and be a millionaire overnight.
It's really based on traffic and web site content. So...if I have a crappy site, no hits.
I haven't built on the site in about a year, so I'm just trying to get everything caught up, and get my new project on there.

jimbo74

do we have to buy or sign up to anything to make you money? or just simply go to the site and click the link, then we can close the browser?

I'm really not asking you to click on the links, as I said before, I'm looking for someone else who has used AdSense.

Well, 42 ad clicks yesterday and I made $7.04
That works out to a little over 0.16 a click.
Not too bad. :dunno:
This just may equal out the cost of having the site.

OK I put in my .16 cents. LOL

Do you get to choose your ads, you have a bunch of Heep ads under the wheeling link :gap:

You don't get to choose, but you can filter out certain sites.

I really don't care who the advertiser is, someone else's interests may be different than mine.

MiniSimp

On a side note, it's at $3.14 today.

If this keeps up, then my goal of having the site pay for itself will be accomplished. :yesnod:

Have you made enough yet to learn what the <title> tag does in HTML?  :gap: :joke:

The home page looks a little busy with 3 blocks of ads, IMHO.

I am impressed with how much you've made in such little time.
