84 4runner from Albuquerque
« on: Jun 25, 2008, 11:24:40 AM »
Hello from Albuquerque!

I've already asked some ?s and really appreciate the help.

This is my new (to me) toy.

1984 4runner- I'm just starting to mod it.

Pulling my best friend's 3 off an obstacle....

His H3 is nice.  We did MOAB last year and it did a good job.  It was what prompted me to get a rig.

That obstacle has got his number.....

RIP KYOTA

You can go through life being scared of the possible, or you can have a little fun and tease the inevitable.

Give a man venison, he'll eat for a day. Teach a man to hunt Blacktail, he'll be frustrated for life!

Thanks!  Yeah that's my neighbor's stuff.  I love the 350Z but am too fat to fit in comfortably.  The RX8 is a POS and I've not seen that thing drive consistently more than a month or 2 before going into the shop for repairs.  He's trying to get rid of it.

As long as you're gentle when you've got a front wheel off the ground it's all good.  He's bombed 2 front diffs.  The newer ones are better (cast iron instead of aluminum)

 :welcome: from northern California.

At least around here, gold 4runners are pretty rare. Only see them every so often. Every time I see one it takes me back to high school. My buddy Danny had a 4runner almost exactly like yours (sans the bumper, sliders and black rims) and we used to wheel that thing all the time. It was that 4runner that made up my mind and caused me to buy a first gen 4runner. So every time I see a gold 4runner with a white top it brings back a lot of memories. Sweet ride man, that shot of you pulling out the hummer is classic
