There is a reason people prefer the 20r or 22r or 22re engines... they are smaller and not such a PITA

my hands are to big to put in the little tiny areas. its floppin' sucks.and my engine is covered in grease and oil.

you did? hmmm. dont remmeber. not that i probly would have done it anyways, no insurance or registration.

workin on the old engine out now still. go the intake off finally. took us forever to get the little stuff figured out becuase it in all crazy ass places. idk, that didnt make sense. probly ognna drop that engine in tomorrow. not gonna have time tonight, not the we wont be trying though...

I told you in the other trucks thread before you pulled that motor to put in a different one. I did not tell  you in this thread, but I assumed you would have still noticed that the information is relevent. Even being not registered or insured, you could have towed it to a car wash and done it. My dad and I have done that before when swapping engines in his trucks.

Huh.  I never had that much trouble.    

Make sure while you've got the engine out, you inspect your clutch, pressure plate, and flywheel.  I'm not saying replace it, but check it.  Also, go buy a new throwout and pilot bearing.  I don't care if the dude said he just had them put in new bearings yesterday, do it anyway.  Its $20 for both, and you'll thank me when it doesn't start squealing everytime you shift once you've got it together, and you have to pull it all back apart.  


don't forget to clean the engine bay while the engine is out!!

i see. the new one is pretty clean, the guy cleaned it up pretty good, ORANGE CRUSH is his name on here. apparently he had a hot gf according to my bros i was at work. but theres only a few things that need to be adapted from my engine to that engine. so itll be pretty simple to do just might look a little funky the way its gotta be run. super gay.

Well, that one is easy, just pull that metal part off the 90, and use it on the new motor.  easy enough.  Scrape the gasket surface clean when you take it apart, and use some high temp RTV to put it back ogether.  I've actually never seen that style from the '92, only the other ones.  Its just those 2 nuts on the studs.

thers at least 2 other pipes on the back that i think are used instead of the second split on the front, so im not sure exactly how it goes i guess well find out tomorrow.

Just use the plenum off the 90.  that way everything goes back together right, and you don't have to guess.

thats what we were thinking about doing...i think theres still one or two extra hoses and such on the 92...ill see what i canf ind by looking at em...

Like I said earlier, strip the engines down to long blocks plus tins and swap all 90 stuff onto the 92 engine, that way there is zero chance for screwing it up with different parts.
