If someone can please post any updates they find in this thread that would be great.

I'm leaving right now to evac my parents house (2 miles away, nothing but forest) :down:

Thank you everyone, my wife will be monitoring this and feeding me updates.

OK i got ahold of WERMZ and he is gonna try to help he's gonna git ahold of MINI and see if they can go up there and get his folks out MINI's sister is there now and freeking out so I will try to keep you all updated as I find out more.

Just talked to MINI and the fire is 1/2 mile away they are packing stuff up, all is good so far but they are on stand by as of now and he said they are OK and he will keep me updated  :crossed:

All is ok for now, we are chillin at the house. Forward command got word we are camped out, we just heard over the scanner that they are sending the SO over to pay us a visit.

Fire current status; Freakin huge! and about 6000 feet away. It's getting warm in here!

Might check in later if the SO doesn't kick us out.

Ok, so I'm back home.

We had to evac per the SO.

Fire was coming straight at the house when we left, approximately 2500 feet away.

Last night we were watching the flames go above the trees.

We got everything out that was important; to my mom it was pictures, to my dad it was the Charger and the Shelby.

Anyways, I'm just going to watch the news now and see if they show the house.

I'll upload some pictures as soon as they are done being transfered to my comp.

So far the fire is making a crescent moon shape around my dad's house, the wind will decide it's fate.

BD, tell your guys to be ready for thick, never cleared brush, pine, madrone, redwood, poision oak, and some rattlers.

Here is the only fire map I can find, it's old, but gives you an idea how close it is.

The line is the distance from the live fire to the house.

Firefighters Report Progress in Bonny Doon

FELTON, Calif. (KCBS/AP) - Firefighters continue to battle several raging wildfires in Northern California that have destroyed houses and forced thousands to flee their homes. In Santa Cruz County, about 900 firefighters are battling the fast-moving wildfire that had grown to 700 acres and destroyed nearly a dozen structures in the Bonny Doon community. It's only about 25 percent contained. Firefighters took advantage of cooler temperatures overnight to put a line around the fire. "I talked to law enforcement, how was your night, they said really boring, which means there wasn't a lot of activity," offered Cal-Fire spokesman Bill Peters. "This is what you want on a fire, really boring, because that's good." Unfortunately, the fire has destroyed 10 structures, at least one of those was a guest cabin in the town of Bonny Doon. There has still been no announcement about when residents might expect to return to their homes.
