just saw shambs post and Myself have alot going on so I figured I would make my own so you guys werent wondering where i was all summer.

Well ive been a farrier assistant/apprentice happily for the last 4 years and also going to school full time but this spring I really started to get burnt out on it and at about the peak of becoming burnt out I got Paracarditis and had to take off two weeks.  After the two weeks off I came back fresh and ready to go only to find out that we had lost over 50 clients just out of wierd coincidents and really had no more job.  I was not worried about it since i have a good amount of money saved.

Several days later I talked to a family friend I hadnt seen since I was 8 years old and brought up his previous career as a flyfishing guide in alaska.  He said if I was interested he could call some people and see about getting me a job. He put in an awsome word for me and after i sent in a resume with some good reference I scored a job for the summer.  Ill be workign with these guys -- www.alaskanflyfishingcamps.com , starting next friday.  They have paid for my transportation to and from alaska and hooked my up with some great sponsorship programs.  Im am fully stoked out of my mind on this job and will get to have my own boat for the summer on one of the best fishing rivers in the country. Ill be back sept 2 just in time for school and mcr7.  Talk to you guys then I guess :beerchug:

I am seriously stoked for you.  That is awesome.  I spent a summer in Alaska in high school and it was amazing.   I would love to go back sometime.

The link is no good for me too. But, no matter...sounds like a great way to spend the summer.

Dude, you are so gonna love fishing in Alaska!     Make sure you go Halibut fishing while you're there too!   That's awesome, do it while you can.  I loved fishing there.

My wife has family in Homer and they own a winery there.  Go see them if you get the time. They also rent rooms too.
