thats pretty much how i was going to do it before the body lift. looks good.
what did you do for motor mounts?

my motor mount flanges are from downey. they suck. the mounts themselves are factory chevy.

they sit on top of the 22r perches and have a long flange that spaces them back for the 4.3. I welded a piece of angle iron onto the frame for support so they don't bend.
all i want is a little more than i'll ever get!!

Here's a mount idea for you.  This is what I do on customers rigs.  Its really strong and pretty simple do do.  It consists of 1.5 tubing .120 wall and 1/4" steel along with YJ leaf spring bushings.  Just cut a plate that bolts to your block along with some tabs for that plate.  Cut down the tube so its the width of your bushings then install those bushings and weld the tabs to width.  Slide your motor down and figure out how long the tube needs to be and cut to length.

Sorry I'm not trying to tell you what to do just an idea.  Its just a really easy way to get your motor in and put it where you want it instead of working with the stock stuff.  It'd allow you to lower you motor and place it easier without to many issues.

Im kind of thinking going a different route with the build.

60/14 bolt combo.
I would love to run 39 or 40's

what do you guys think?

heck yeah now your talking.  Go with the 60/14b and go 42's.  You need to in order to get the same ground clearance that 37's will give you on a toyota axle.

Trust me you won't be dissapointed if you go that big.  I sure don't miss the toyota axles when I'm in the rocks.  I just blew a toyota hub on my tacoma this weekend in the snow.  Wouldn't have happened if I had 1 tons.

the only weak spot i can see happening is the output shaft on the toy case. would a 42 really make that much of a difference than a 39 or 40?

Yes it does.  The guys I wheel with have 39's and 42's.  Just having that 42 on the same obstacle as the 39.5 (I just call them 40's) can make the difference on making it and not making it.  This also goes hand in hand with wheelbase.  That extra 2 inches can either hinder you or help you.  The same goes with a 35 vs. a 37.  Every bit helps.
