OK I know this isn't a cool big mega yard grill.
I was going to buy a small yard grill but Mark thought it would be better to get another better one we could use at home and take on the road as well.

So I did some research and we ended up with this one.

I think it is so cool.

this is where I started...

and this was the end result... next to our old camping grill... it's so cool

its got hooks to hang things

its got a place to hook on a shopping bag for garbage (which I always load up on a bunch cause they're handy)
and as you can see on the far side it's got a place for paper towels!

Its got an LED NIGHT LIGHT!! Cause you know we always end up grilling in the dark. The on/off button is right on the top
The big thing on assembly was that hook you see on the right in the second picture below. I'm like WTF does the hook go.. there was no place for a hook, so in trying to line up where the light should go it snapped into place.
So I'm like.. WHY THE HOOK.. and it came to me.. you can easily release the light with that tab on the left.. and use it anywhere you need it (like under the hood)! GENIUS!

It's got an alternate griddle, so I'm thinking "oh great.. another thing to store/lose" but NO... it folds out over the existing side table (with beverage of choice holder) and folds back in when you need it.

It's not perfect, there were some flaws but I think it is way cool as an all around traveling/home grill

Its the Thermos Grill-2-Go

OH.. and on the right hand table it has a slot to put your car flag for things like tailgate parties.. LOL

Even the package holding the hardware was clearly marked as to what each piece of hardware was with a perforated section on the back to get it out when the instructions (yes... I read the instructions) called for it.

MWM, that is very cool!  All I have is an old, neglected grill -- but I had to post this in case anyone hadn't seen it yet. Not mine!

My goal in life is to be as a good a person as my dog already thinks I am.

I knew there would be "cool grills" posted on the thread but it's really about YOUR grill.
I am sure there are a lot of cool personal grills out there.

what really amazed me in doing the assembly of this is I figured the hardware was all going to be lumped together and I would be like 10-24x12 screw.. WHAT?
But them put them all in their own compartment It was so easy.

Funny, you started this thread on the day I just put my new one together.  Early Father's Day gift.  :gap:  it's pretty sweet and as pictured it is still a virgin. But after tonight I'll be sticking some meat in it to devirginitize it.  :disturbed:

It has 6 burners and a rotisserie kit.  :suprised: All stainless steel construction and it was on sale.  Even bought an LED light for the handle.  I already lit it for the first time and it gets hot FAST!   :o  Even has a large side burner.

Look at all the boxes that this thing came in!  :yikes:

I know it's not a grille but it's pretty cool and kinda acompanies the grille for parties.

Edit:  Bought this when we bought the grille. A cooler on wheels!

now that cooler looks real handy...but maybe needs bigger wheels.

I was thinking some 35's maybe... :hammerhead:   Haven't had to wheel it anywhere yet so I can't say if the wheels are gonna be a problem yet.  The wheels are a hard rubber and they do roll failry nice. I'll report back if I have any problems or if I have to do any serious mods.  :gap:

I do like the griddle Idea!    That is cool.

Perfect as they come for a traveler type.

No doubt it has feminine influence with the paper towel holder and hangy things.  Now where is that toilet paper? HHHmmmmmm?  :rofl2:

Lady Di

LOL!
I devirginized the griddle this morning with pancakes. I think I didn't let it get hot enough, they were still good but didn't brown enough.
I notice the griddle has an open slot in it for grease to run off into the grease tray, which is removable for easy cleaning.

Now I need to get a window flag to put on the tray. I wonder if we can get a Mammoth flag made. That would be cool

Congrats on the early fathers day gift too! That is a SWEET grill! Initially I was looking at getting a regular yard grill but Mark thought if we were going to spend money on one it might as well be one we can take with us too.

I have some brats prepped and ready for grilling, ground beef for burgers and a couple t-bones. Should be a mad grilling weekend LOL

:coffee:   Ahh, what a night.  I devirginitized the grille with some Filet's.  :yumyum:  They came out quite good.

Had to try and season the grille a little since we're having a cook off today for my son's 23rd B-day today. .............. :spankbutt: X23

I do have a travel unit too. I'll have to set it up first to take pics of it.  Maybe soon. but sometime for sure.  8)

OK I devirginzed that grill for lunch. Well, at least half the grill.... with brats I had simmered in Killians yesterday. :yumyum:

Then I took it apart and scrubbed it down, :hahaha: but it's so easy to clean!
I love the grease pan, it slides right out to empty and clean.

Steaks are going on it tonight. :meal:

so far it seems to cook nice and evenly. I did pancakes on the griddle this morning, but I don't think I let it heat up long enough. They didn't brown enough but they were OK.
Oh, that would be great for grilled cheese sammiches too!

And the griddle does come off too for easy cleaning. It's got a spring on one side of the hinge.

OK further report.

I'd have to say all in all I am quite pleased. Yes, there are some cold spots but I think that is to be expected with any grill. In general it grilled pretty evenly.
Moreso, the big problem I had with the old camping grill was I couldn't keep it at a low heat with even the slightest breeze it would go out, even at medium it was dicey.
It was pretty breezy tonight and I was able to keep the zuke side on low and the steak side on medium which was plenty high enough to get it flaming and a good charbroiling.

SMOKIN!

The zukes and steak

Well I might have gotten a bit carried away with the zukes but I wanted leftovers for work.
