I don't know if they will bolt up or not.  I would imagine someone has tried it. 

They look closer to the same size and shape than I expected.  Maybe take some measurements of each, or ask someone at your local yota scrapper?

What's the advantage to going about it that way?

Cheaper, Tacoma Doors are like $250 a piece.  Tacomas are not very common in junk yards.  I have seen one 2WD one in the past 5 years.  But 89-94 pickups roll in about once a month or every other month

I know these aren't built but these work good too. i wish taco doors weren't so Floppin expensive.i want to build a set of half doors also.  Here is my buddys  86 with Dave'z tube doors. and my Taco with my 4xinnovation doors before the swap.

At least you have a set to cut down.  I had to buy some.  Then I traded them for more. I did a count yesterday and realized I now have 4 sets of doors.  lol Stock, 1/2, and 2 sets that need to be cut down.

93-95 and it has drive flanges (v6)

I picked up 93 runner doors with hopes of getting the rear window wiring to work with the half doors (they were the wrong connector). I have a big dog that rides in the back seat so i had never planned on half doors back there. Untill recently. Im waiting for the proper color 4runner to be parted out and i might try and get the doors and make 4 more. The rears will have bolt on race netting (nascar windows) fitted to the opening so the dog dosen't fall out. just a thought for now.

Hey goldrush, where are you located? I was thinking about v 2.0, just curious cause your runner is the color of my halfs. slightly off my color.

Any way, i just picked up a drivers door wiring harness from a proper donor (last time the plugs didn't match). I talked about my dog, well he really does not enjoy the rear windows not working when the halfs are on. I took  the new harness, a drivers door switch, and a made a panel. Now my rears work, also my interior control for the tailgate window works (it only works outside by key if you disconnect the drivers door harness).

Im excited, it's good to be excited about simple things

This is how i deal with rain when im parked when it rains, tarp fold over then shut door, magnets on the bottom.
