I only gouged the tip of my finger with a table saw a couple of years ago......

Holy Who invented that? Is this a new thing? I have never seen one before. Interesting. Do they work pretty well when you don't cut your cord? I bet they are a lot quiter than my big ol' Stihl.

I've got one (not the one I used today) that's probably 20 years old..........

Lot's quieter, not finicky starting (when you have a good cord), good for occasional home use.   Tree trimming, dead limbs, etc.  where a sawzall is too small.

Enough toilet humor  , back to the subject at hand (sort of).  True story:

When I was a kid, my Dad got an electric mower.  Before I used it, I got a lecture about not running over the cord.  Guess who ended up running over the cord?  Hint: it wasn't me!

Slightly off topic but those electric chainsaws work great for trail maintainence and are in fact prefered by our local Forest Service and BLM during fire restrictions.  I use my inverter, that was originally installed for running an angle grinder for trail repairs, and an extension cord, uncut of course , to run my little electric chainsaw.  It is smaller and easier than my big Stihl and can be stowed in my gear quite easily.
