Stock front axles, t/c output shaft, oil's, and some misc.. stuff. Sounds like we will be covered if any thing happens.

I just replanted the 2 bottom diff studs with 8mm button head bolts.

Nice!!  I'm leaving Thursday after work also.  We will be camping off of 305 or 315 on this map
http://staythetrail.org/maps/files/BLM_RoyalGorgeFO_Fourmile_2005p2.pdf

Poorboyota from YT/CoTTORA is going to find a spot Thursday morning and call me with specific directions.  I will post them up here, on YT, and CoTTORA once he calls me.  Check this thread for campsite details on Thursday the 31st!

So I have been looking at some maps and I dont see any point driving all the way south to BV thursday night and then back north to run holly cross friday morning. I think thursday night Im going to head over to holly cross and camp around there and then meet you at the trail head friday morning.
Should save me some gas

jarboarder1

OH and COToy91 do you have one of your old tires that I could get for a spare?
its one of the things on my list that I need before the trip

That'll work also!  There are some great camping spots off of the dirt road headed to the Holy Cross trailhead.  I don't blame you with gas prices the way they are.  This trip is going to cost me $150 in diesel alone and probably another $40 for the crawler.  Totally worth it to hit up 3 or 4 of the best trails in the state :)

Your truck roll into a anther tree  :cheese: you should go back to a stander tranny. Hey so if we take 24 to B/V it will take 3 1/2 hours and if we take 285 it will take 2 1/2 hours, it will take us longer regardless of the way we go  :turtle3:. what do you think? I have never taken 24 to b/v so i am game for it but i will go both way as long as we get there  :driving:

i say 285 then and my old man is coming with and we are going to tow my rig there. I have friday off so i will do some final preps that day and i just need to know what time you want to roll out of town.

And no i fixed my tcase base which is why it rolled. There is this leak that is plaguing me but i think i got it solved tonight. Other than that i installed dual batteries, winch is on and wired up, and i am building the york bracket tomorrow moring. I am having issues finding fittings for it, but that is the last thing i have left to figure out.

I think that is a wise choice.  Without dual cases and Longfields, that trail will get the best of you.  I still think we should head out Saturday night and run something - Iron Chest, Chinamans, something.  That way you can get some wheeling in!

Ah man, that sucks.  Monday night my basement flooded with 2-5" of mud and water from my backyard after getting a super bad rainstorm.  It filled up one window-well with 6 feet of mud and water and broke the window, allowing all that into the basement.  The other window-well had 4 feet of mud and the window held up.  I've spent the last 48 hours busting my ass getting the basement cleaned up and getting everything we took out, cleaned up and back down into the basement.  I honestly thought I wasn't going to make it to the CO4RJ after all.

We'll catch up later and hit a trail!

As soon as I hear from the guy grabbing the campsite Thursday morning, I'll post up a map with an exact spot of the campsite.  I honestly don't know what time we'll be done with HC.  You're more than welcome just heading to camp and meeting up with everyone else rolling in Friday.

Kevin (poorboyota26) just called and here's where he is getting a campsite

"I will try and get the camp site that is closest to 315 and 376 intersection. For those of you getting there after dark look for the paper plates with the arrows and the glow sticks. I'll be on channel 7 on the CB. The camp site will be taped off with pink tape"

Basically take 315 west several miles to the intersection of 315/376 or until you see a big group of Toyota's :hillbill:

He also recommends anybody towing to take 305 to 376 and down 376 to 315.  The road is better for people towing.

Once again, here's the map of the area we are camping

Damn Im so excited for this trip.   :driving:
I will be camping around holly cross tonight and then see you guys friday morning at the trail head.

What CB channel are we using for this event? sounds like 7

Volcom

GPS of the campsite
N38 51.479 W106 03.380

Take 315 to the intersection and turn left on 376.  The campsite will be right there!!!

If you copy and paste those coordinates into Google Maps, it will show you exactly where the campsite is located.

Thanks for everyone showing up and making this years Jamboree a success!!  I didn't count the # of rigs total but it was well above 30 for the weekend.

We had a decent sized group run Holy Cross on Friday.  We had the entire trail to ourselves for most of the day (we ran into 3 Jeeps at the top).  These pictures are from Jade on COTTORA

Lining up for the second obstacle after The Bailout.  Isaac going for a difficult line in the background.

Doug sneaking around on the usual line.

Some minor detail of Isaac's line.

Jay on the usual line.

Nate following Isaac.

Some of the parking arrangements while letting some of the bigger trucks passed us at French Creek.

The right side line just through French Creek.  (I didn't get names of some folks.)

Sort of the "right line".  Maybe a little too right.

Isaac broke a bead at French Creek.

Aaron motoring right through the right side of French Creek.  This is the same line that Nate did.

Except this last little bit.

This truck took a little more time and effort.

Some pictures of Cleveland Rock for Nic.  When I arrived on the scene this is where I found Aaron.  It's a long way down on the right side.

He tried this line.

and tried....

...and eventually took a break.

Cory suggested this line.

I had to wiz and missed his summit....
The difference between Aaron's 4 Runner and Cory's XtraCab wheelbase was only 3 inches, but made a difference.

...a tow strap to bring that driver's side tire down and a little extra weight on the passenger tire did the trick.
Same scenario here.

After hiking down from Holy Cross City....

...we found Nate at French Creek, in a bit of a spot.

and a spot of another kind....

There is still just a little snow up high yet.

6 of us ran BV Carnage on Saturday.  I don't have pictures or video yet but it was a good day.  We did have some carnage, R&P toasted, DIRTCO busted his brand new windshield, Cubuff4Runner bent a rear axle housing, tons of new body damage on everyone!
