Got shackles?
Looks good though, especially the front. Rear needs to settle and you gotta ditch those 10" shackles. Then it'll be  :boobs:

those rear shackle angles are gnarly. springs need settling.. you may need to bring the mount forward 3/4in.

front looks good man.

well this weekend was kc's (ToYocRawleR ) batchlor party and right after we hit the pavement coming home we were waiting on some people and i decided to try and crawl a tree, well bad idea kind of, because i broke a birf, then couldnt turn because of it so had to take it out there in the pouring rain without most of the right tools, then my tire almost came off later. long night!

Birfailed

Those are definetly some blown birfs!  Be careful about your R&P ratio with longs.  I blew up 2 front sets of 5.29's with longs and one rear set of 5.29's, also broke both rear axle shafts on the same trail.  It just seemed everything falls apart around the longs.  If you do bobby longs hub gears too then you effectively made your R&P your weakest link...not a good spot at all.  Stay between 4.88 and 4.10 with the R&P numerically lower the better with longs, get your gear reduction with some 4.7 case gears.
Go 1-Ton from the start

yeah well i already have 5:29's and i just sold my car and need to find another new nicer one so for now im just gonna wait and put another stock one in.
i cant bring myself to spend money on tires and shafts when i dont have a DD

"Later, I learned that even though I engage 4WD my hubs are not automatically locking? Something about manual locking hubs I think. What's manual mean? I need to read a manual to lock them? lol  So I found these neat autolocking hubs and installed them. Sometimes they dont stay locked while I am backing up, but that's fine because I dont have a backup camera to see where Im going (like our RV) so I just simply dont ever back up"- BigMike

so im trying to decide on what to do, a buddy of mine has a d60 rear 4.88 and detroit, and d44 front with 4.88 and welded, he wants to sell them to me they are on his toy now so i think all i would have to do is change the flange on my drivelines. but im just wondering would it be worth it with a 44 up front or should i just go with the 30 spline longfields, i can get the axles for 600 with rims too. and sell my axles with 5.29 and lockrights with hysteer for probably more?
i just need some input from you guys

you can get the longs for the same price as the other axles, and have a stronger axle then a 44, a TON less weight for your 10 squirrel power motor to push up the hill, and a less work, the only plus with the other axles is the width  :twocents:
