First, learn how to wheel. Then, decide what axles you need.

Get longs and dont worry about your ring and pinion, you have warn hubs it looks like... that is The weakest link

Get a ubolt flip kit for the rear while your at it too
Colorado...its where the cool kids live

THK Matt

the only nice thing about warn hubs, is how much easier the dials are to grab onto.
thats about the only advantage. lol

ive had 39.5"s and 42"s on my truck for 3 years using warn hubs, and my only issue was that the nuts would rattle loose, i just recently switched to aisin hubs

808

and i think i had the same problem with the nut as you, i had the one that bolts onto the shaft come loose and it some how locked in that hub when i was driving so my truck just started shaking because of the driveline angle, and i couldnt unlock it so i took it apart in the middle of the road and the bolt was just wedged between the cap and gear

I'd say if it pulls double duty as a trail truck and DD keep your toy axle.  If you want a trail only rig I definetly recommend full widths, but hold out for a 60 since it's all the same amount of work.
Go 1-Ton from the start

808

yeah if it was a 60 i would have done it already i have another car so my truck is mostly just wheeler but i use it around town alot to just local.
but i cant find a 60 front for under a grand

go with the 30.s crome molly super birfs longfields. because if you brake one ,sent it back and get a new one for free!!!

808

yeah but doesnt that only work once?
not saying i would even break one because something would break before that i bet, but isnt the second one you break just like half price

We all know what broken birfs look like and that's not a good thing.  Go with bobby longs 30's and never have to worry about another broken birf.  Keep your R&P ratio in the 4.10 to 4.56 range if you wanna keep that diff together.
Go 1-Ton from the start

Birfailed

Damn, I just noticed you got 5.29's.  Well...run those gears till they blow.
Go 1-Ton from the start

808

ha yeah i know that one thing im worried about. gears are so much more expensive then a birf but i am tired of breaking them.
