A while back I sent a package to myself from CT of parts that had collected at my Mom's house. EFI harness, MAF, 10 inch rockford sub, etc. Stupid me I sent it USPS and when it got here, I didn't need any of it immediately so I didn't open it.

Since I am getting ready to put an inexpensive sub into the Beast I went to retrieve the Rockford from the box today and looky what I found.

Somebody stole your stuff and swapped out the books? Man, that suckles...at least you can sell the extra copies on Ebay and buy some new stuff.

I couldn't really do anything but laugh either. I will never use the PO to ship anything. Nope, it is the same box I shipped. Someone ganked my goods and put in some herbal books.

I never used to worry a whole lot about it till I got a gas tank shipped through ups, guy dropped it off without anybody signing for it and it had broken through the box in 2 places! I was

when I saw the front mount of the tank sticking 1" out! People sometimes don't understand why I won't ship something through ups when I sell them stuff, but I've seen first hand how they throw the boxes around in the truck and I will not trust them with anything I've sold!

I wonder if there's a distant chance 2 boxes of similar size came apart when on the conveyer belt, and some guy who was 1 strike away from being fired just threw stuff in the boxes and hoped he got it right

I've had stuff arrived torn to bits from UPS, Fed-Ex & the USPS. I've even had Fed-Ex turn stuff around & send it back to the original shipper twice on me which has caused me to dislike Fed-Ex immensely. My wife works for the post office & I can tell you most of them are very careful around here, but I know of at least one instance where a lady picked up some mail & went driving off with the back door open & mail was flying out all over the street!

The post office is usually pretty serious about keeping stuff straight though & having stuff stolen from your box then resealed with books in it is unreal. I'd take it to the post office & report it a.s.a.p. regardless of how long it has been. They know who has handled that box if it was handled properly & they take a very dim view of thievery. Just my $.02

That suxs. I bought an iPod on-line & it was shipped UPS. When I got the box, someone had opened it, took the iPod & resealed it.

These scare the crap out of the shippers. Fragile or some nonsense - who cares as long as the box isn't crushed. This works.
