Mike, if you are still planning on driving on the street, try to come up with a way to incorporate U-Bolts in to the bottom plate.

Why? It's the same as a U-bolt eliminator kit, except with a swivel added in. The bonus IS that you can get away from using U-bolts. I know lots of guys who run U-bolt eliminator kits on the road and rocks and haven't ever had a problem...

Because if he is going down the road and hits a pot hole it could rip the entire spring perch off. The 2 welds on the perch is the only thing holding the entire axle to the springs. Or reinforce the perch so that it is stronger.

You mean like trussing the axle and perch together? That is a good idea. It strengthens the axle as well as reinforces the perch.

U-bolts suck. :slap:

Exactly. Just something to strengthen the perch.

Yup, I've already figured out what I'm gonna do. At this point I am not going to make my own, but instead just order from Dave Wong like you did. I have been calling him for over one week and I keep leaving messages and he has not called me back. I guess he doesn't want any of my money.....

After seeing your pictures, I am going to add some support to the side of the bolt tube.

I am not worried about it falling off, as I will be sure to work my special "over welding" technique where I just weld all over the dang place and it looks like :puke:

Also I want to buy slightly longer bolts, drill a small hole in the end of the threads, and install cotter pins just for safety.

If they work like I think they will, then I will consider putting them in the front ALSO.

Good Idea, just don't let the gussets interfere with movement.

If you want I can send my henchmen over there to wake his ass up. It's only him and one other guy in that shop, and sometimes he takes off for a week at a time to go to Moab.

Actually I finally got ahold of him this morning. They are preparing for the Easter Jeep Safari and he is not sure if he will have any time to make me a set. He said he would try to get it built and then ship it out before he leaves. :crossed:

Here are my plans for my Spring break thus far:
Friday Afternoon: Install Clineometer and finish a couple of small wiring projects.
Sunday: Bob the Bed.

Also what wire is for the tack input? My wiring schematics are bad..... The truck runs great but i cant get rid of the cel without the speed sensor!!! HELP

hi there mike like truck it sick. i like the pivot blocks gonna have to do this on my pickup have you any idea if they will work as well on the front. forgive my apparent lack of insite im new to all this.
IVE TRIED TO GIVE A DAM AND FAILED

BigMike

I think they would work ok on the front if the truck is for trail-use only. Also, with the added leverage of a steering system, I am almost certain that some kind of a panhard or control radius arm MUST be used in the front to keep the truck level and the axle from moving latterally side to side underneath the truck.

I am going to get a lot of work done this weekend, so for sure there will be some updates coming soon.

Yes, we need a update on the Pitbull Rockers. They look like they work great.

Can you see a Toyota drivetrain being able to stand up to the 39.5 x 16.5 wide Rocker? Seems like an awful lot of tire for a yota   :nerv:
