FOUND IT!

only picture I have of it.

It was black and Silver with red pinstriping. and said "Special Edition" under the side mirrors on the rocker panel of the doors.

My sr5 turbo they were removed but the paint was original
87 longbed bobbed 12inches, locked,geared,Tacoma dash, 3rz swap Its a never ending project.

Cool nice rigs! I was always under the conclusion that strips only came on SR5?? Was the DLX the base model or were there more models? I learned something new today!! Great trucks.

from what I know they ALL had stripes/decals



and i haven't found any info on what "extra" stuff the SE had over the SR5

Its a custom made front bumper. The original owner did not even know who made it. I have seen a couple of similar bumpers but none that are quite the same. I believe it was fabricated by shop in the Grass Valley/Auburn CA area in the early to mid 90s.
