I'm getting ready to put a 350 in my 85 and use the (www.northwestoffroad.com) 350 to Toyota 5speed adapter.  I was just wondering if you like it, any broken parts,will head hugger headers work?  My truck  has duals,flat belly,locked,longs in the front,38.5 tsl sx's and yes it is a trailer Queen! Any info would be awesome thanks.

I used a 4wd trany so I didn't have to swap the main shaft

Have you done any crawling with the auto?  I was leaning more to the toyota trans and the 350 untill I chated with ya

No crawlin its a show truck but I do know this if you keep the toy trany then you MIGHT have to buitcher the dash up like my buddy did and now he has to have his radio over his head due to the fact that the shifter came through the dash at the radio and ac

ha  I already did that bc I did a "tummy tuck" and cut my floor,dash out to tuck my dual cases up inside the frame rails so that's no big deal.  How does your buddy like the V8 with the toyota trans behind it?

He said he hates it cause he can't get on the gas to open up the carb when he needs to cause the toy trany isn't strong enough THATS WHY I USED THE CHEVY TRANY
I can stomp mine to the floor and know the trany will hold up plus the trany to tcase adaptor is cheaper and that means money can go elsewhere on the truck

Hey I heard somewhere that you can use a Dodge Dakota? bell housing that will bolt right up to the Chevy V8 and the Toyota 5 speed.. Wrecking yard fixes rule!
