my chevy swap
« on: Aug 21, 2007, 12:18:27 PM »
few of my chevy swap....

i need a wider rear from an IFS truck or spacers right now the tires are hitting frame rail or i would have alot more flex... i have the 3 leaf + OL chevy 63's 1/2ton leafs

im running double shackles but the frame mounted shackle isn't unloading due to the frame rail... im not planning on runnning the doubles for awhile i need to order the new rear perch....

as for my first suspension mod envolving welding and measuring and cutting and drilling and all that crap i think they came out pretty good.

Mount

little flex

Hi Jacksteads,  I just got done putting rear wrangler 4 inch lift on the front of my toy to replace the skyjacker springs that were on there.
I have heard alot of people runnin the chevy 63 inch springs on the rear and I have a couple of questions if you don't mind.  Now these questions may sound pretty simple to you but I am new to this and do not know alot.  So I have to ask questions.  The problem though is that I am sooo noob that I don't know the right questions to ask, but here goes. lol
Does it matter which year you take the springs from?
How do you measure them?  While they are on or unsprung?
Do you have to move the hangers???
Any info that you would like to provide to me would be highly appreciated, including answers  to questions that I did not ask about.

tks Bob
