it is fine but you can make that kit way cheaper... all it is a battery disconnect.... you can actually buy those for like $10 and wire

so all it really does is replaces your main power wire from your starter to the batterie and the key just joins the two wires together?

yup....

http://www.harborfreight.com/cpi/ctaf/displayitem.taf?Itemnumber=92688

here is the SAME SWITCH @ harbor freight for $2.99

100 amp capacity @ 12 volts (1000 amp surge)

using this will also kill your radio/computer settings unless you wire in an extra measure to maintain them...

well i;ll be danmed your right jimbo looks like a match to me.  Now it won't kill your radio if it's hooked straight to the starter right?  Only if you cut your main power?

correct... most people use it as a battery cutoff switch, but it can be used to jsut cut power to the starter

All you have to do is cut the line to your starter, and wire in a switch.  I do it to all my cars.  Easy and cheap way to keep your car being stolen.  My 4runner is connected with my cell phone, so if anyone messes with it, it sends me a silent signal, without them knowing, so I can go and catch them in the act.  It happened when my wife and I went to the movies, I whooped his butt.  It was funny when the cops came.  They asked me why I whooooooooooooped his butt, and he actually said I cought him trying to break into it.  What a moron.

It is a good way to have your alarm wired in to it as well.  I have a code for my runner, and one for my truck.

What im saying is potential thieves now know that people wire kill switches, and where to look for them to disarm them even beofre they go on their hunt to steal

Oh, I see.  Actually if they can find them, good luck.  Key work being them.  That is why you wire more than one in series.

yes, but that extra 30 seconds of popping the hood, can get them noticed or slow them enough to move onto an easier target

no matter what, if they want it, they will get it......

True, depends on how bad they want it, but you could put one there too.  If you get the right amperage switches, you could wire up multiple switches for multiple things, not just the starter, or battery.  You could cut tons of things that would cause the truck or car not to start.  They would have to know which ones you switched, and which one you disabled.  Like you said, they would move to an easier target, leaving your vehicle along hopefully.
