This is a temporey thing that kinda helps ease my mind when i'm in slum vill at our local mall, i just pull the wire comming from the coil to the distributer and put it in my back pocket.

True it's not going to stop someone if your gone for days on vacation or even when your sleeping.  But it'll stop them long enough that hopefully i'll come out and catch them in the act and either call the cops or beat the :pokinit: out of em. (depends on how many and how big the he/she is :) )

Well I know of the ultimate anti-theft device.  Unfortunately, it's also an anti-want-to-own-it device.

Cat Pee.   I had an old Volvo that smelled like it and well, I could park it in the middle of east L.A. and nobody would touch it.

I'm a firm believer in locks are only to keep honest people honest, and a real thief will take what he wants no matter what the costs.

But as far a rigging a simple toggle witch or any other type of switch how easy is it? I am by NO means an electrician  :shocking: or really have much exp in it. from what I can figure out on my own all its for it to break the circuit right?
So say I wanted to rig a kill for my fuel pump I just snip the hot wire. run my own extensions off each end to wherever I want that switch and hook my switch up? so I flip the switch and the circuit can be continued right? please stop me if I'm wrong.. like a stretch that takes say my ignition wire and extens it to run to my cig lighter? so I press in the cig lighter and I get about 20sec to start my car? then it would reset so I don't have to worry about turning it off? if I got it shoot me a thumbs up  :therethere: if not well pimp slap me   :slap: and point me the right way :driving:

Agreed.  I have never had my entire truck stolen, but have had parts stolen off it.  The worst was when my stereo(crappy old Sony) was stolen.  Some crackhead walked up and shattered the passenger side window then proceded to tear my dash apart and shred half the wiring under the dash.  This was in broad daylight on a Saturday at a grocery store.  People just stood there and when I got out of the store they claimed to have not heard or seen anything. Took days to get the wiring and dash fixed.
