I pm'd bigmike about this a few hours ago but heard nothing back.  It's making my computer lag and run super slow when on marlin, really sucks.  Maybe it's cause I'm on dialup, but if it persists I'll get too frustrated and give up on the site.  Guess it's time to see what's up on yotatech  :shudder:

the snow stopped? i realized bigmike is online... i thought the snow was cool, but it really killed my browser, and i run a cable modem

Mike said he changed the snow around so it didn't pile up so much at the bottom to keep the site from lagging, but it's still slow for me.  Is everybody having issues using firefox, or is it an ie problem too?

Yeah when I am at home on firefox my comp. is really slow on MC at work no problem.  I am starting to really hate firefox.  :maddest:

I tried ie last night and it sucked too.  Between my super slow connection and this snow, it's nearly pointless for me to try spending any time on the site right now.  Just too frustrating  :down:

I keep getting the site is busy try again in 10 minutes.  And it's slowing me up a little.  And if the snow is going left to right, forget even trying to get onto the site at all.  It took me three attempts at loading the Marlin main page, before I could get a screen that had the snow falling right to left, before I could get onto the forum.  :attention:

When I get on the site it "freezes" for 30 seconds then everything is cool. So I just leave Marlin open on one tab and do everything else on another tab.

Yeah its cool and fun for the holiday spirit but when trying to type a reply it makes its really hard because it takes like 10 seconds for whatever i type to show up. i am on satellite internet and its still laggy. go check out how the go cart project is going on yotatech maybe that guy got his toyota engine and tranny in  :rofl2:
