aluminum is soft if you could get a 1/4 inch piece and cut it to match a gasket,
Its a old school v8 header trick.

I got an LCE header it works well no leaks, warps or cracks.   I've only been runnin it about 8  months  still in nice shape but the sound is ridiculous.
Of course that might be from the 2'' pipe back to a flowmaster 40.  :gap:

How bout  a copper gasket ? I dunno,  Thats what I got on the connector pipe and no leaks
 yet.
22RE .30 over, mild cam, K&N, LCE header, 2.25'' pipe, high flow cat, Magnaflow.
 Marlin 1200LB clutch

 no substitute for 4wheel drive.

any good fab shop or engine/machine shop should be able to resurface the flange. we usually just run them across a large belt sander and check them with a machinist straight edge.

Your flange should be thick enough to have it milled.  I have a nwor with 1/2" thick flange :gap:
