Verbal agreements are fine, but I wouldn't expect anyone to hold unpaid for parts for more than a few days.  I've sold stuff many times on Craigslist where I had a "verbal agreement" to sell to a buyer that I never heard back from.  I'm sure grilzlikemud had experienced that too from buyers and you live and learn.

....and if you thought the price was too high then you shouldn't have bought from them in the first place.

YOU ONLY NEED TWO TOOLS IN LIFE - WD-40 AND DUCT TAPE. IF IT DOESN'T MOVE
AND SHOULD, USE THE WD-40. IF IT SHOULDN'T MOVE AND DOES, USE THE DUCT TAPE.

IF YOU CAN'T FIX IT WITH A HAMMER, YOU HAVE AN ELECTRICAL PROBLEM.
