Urethane 1 inch body lift for third gen p/u ?
« on: Nov 28, 2007, 08:31:09 PM »

Hey folks I'm fairly new to the site and appreciate all the info here. good $#!T.
I'm over here on the calinorfcoast, hellooo  to everybody on here !  :usa:

I need a 1 inch urethane or hard rubber  body lift for my 94 p/u.
The trucks got a 3 inch b-lift right now. The ride sorta sucks and the center of gravity is way too high!
Seems like 4crawler has a small  b-lift anybody got one ?  :headscratch:

  Thanks!

what other kind of lift d you have?  a body lift doesn't change your COG all that much.  Most of the weight of the vehicle is comprised of the drivetrain components, the frame, and the axles.  none of which is raised when you raise the body.

I also seriously doubt that your ride is being affected by the body lift, unless it is completely worn out, or the bolts aren't tightened properly, and the body is shifting on the frame which is unsafe as well as uncomfortable.

Ya true, The previous owner did the b lift w 3 blocks of hard plastic and lame ass hardware.  Some of the body mount holes are a little off center from the frame. kinda feels funky and probably dangerous.
The suspension is stock as of now but I'm sharpening my welding skills so I can fix that.....

The 4crawler urethane kit seems like a good choice. I think it's a little more but should make the ride better  :driving:

1 inch bodylifts = HOCKEY PUCKS. Don't listen to the naysayers around here they work and they work good. Just don't create a 2" lift by stacking them, that doesn't work so well.

I've been thinking on making my own 3/4 or 1 inch lift with some starboard polymer.. I've already replaced the body mounts and i don't see why it wouldn't work.   :dunno: i just need a little lift for the 3 row radiator and all the tranny swapping i like to do.
