Ha! I'm even late for my birthday wishes thread. :shake:

My birthday: Went to work at 6:00am and found that I was going to be short 2 people on the busiest day of the week. No real biggie since I usually over schedule by a person. Still it made my day to where I had to be on the floor all day. 2:00pm, had several meetings at my new store with my Teamleaders to inform them that we were going to break up there little group since from the day I started they've played little games to create overtime, (refer back to 6:00am). Now everyone is really pissed except for me who is enjoying the moment. 4:00pm, I post next weeks schedule and a few people find that they are not on it. Now those that were not pissed are livid, my phone starts ringing off the hook since some of those that are not there blow a gasket. I inform most that no they are not fired, they are pending transfer to other stores. That really burns them since they are still employed but have no hours next week but still need to find a store that will take them. 5:00pm, tension is building and one Teamleader continues to burn a hole in her cell phone while working, after several times of asking her to get off the phone I while having dinner with the bosses wife I casually tell her what she is doing. She excuses herself and immediately goes to the counter and asks her to put down her phone and attend to her duties. Well that didn't go over very well since the Teamleader ignored her as well and it just got ugly from there on. Bosses wife returns to the table and within a few minutes I see Teamleader walk out the front door still on the phone, now crying and walks down the street. Now not that I didn't enjoy knowing she just blew any chance of a transfer but I now have only a trainee working. So I try to replace her with a few phone calls but to no avail, so guess who's stuck working till 10:00pm? You guessed it, the birthday boy! Not that I had any plans but hell it is my birthday and I was supposed to spend the evening with my wife, and we were alone for once. :eyebrow: Anywho the trainee really stepped up, had to take a crash-course and did a great job, but he was only scheduled till 8:00pm, but gladly stayed with me till 10:00pm to help out. We were a little busy but not bad since the kitchen help stepped up too. 10:00pm, everyone shows up for graves and I give the trainee a ride home. 10:45, I arrive home take a shower have a glass of wine and after 16 hours of work crash out in bed.



HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ME!  :crazy:



I am off today though and have turned my cell phone off!
