was out snow wheeling with fearofrunner and a couple other people and was having a problem with this hill (2 bad tires, no traction). picture going up a trail at about a 15 degree angle with a nearly verticle wall to your left and a 35 foot drop on your right. you get almost to the top of the hill, have to back up a foot or so, then get ready to try again. you let off the brake and the clutch, step on the gas, but notice that your flying backwards towards the sheer drop REAL fast. slam on the brakes, slide back another 6-7 feet, feel the nose of the truck start going skyward and the drivers side of the druck doing the same thing. come to a screeching halt with the truck in that position. looking straight foreward through the windshield had me looking at the peak of the mountain, looking through the passanger window had me looking directly down the drop off. look at your inclimeter and you've pegged it out both backwards and to the right (past 30 degrees each way). look over at the guys your wheeling with and their eyes are WIDE open (though probably not as open as yours). the guys tell you "slowly, very slowly back up, your front left tire is about 4 feet off the ground right now dude!!" you back up a few inches and go more verticle, "you shure i need to back up?!?" "your at the top of the rock, just keep going back slowly". back up a few more inches, start seeing the tree's again. a few more inches back, can see the steep wall to your left a little bit and more of the tree's in front of you. another foot and all 4 tires are back on the ground.

Fearofrunner

Yeah dude i barely missed that, your face was as red as the hair on your head.  HA HA when i finally got some traction to get to that part my frontend came up pretty steep too.  I don't really understand why either there wasn't really that deep of rut right there to cause that.

red

idk either. going foreward over that part wasnt bad at all, think my left front wheel maybe came off the ground a few inches at most (but i was also more to the left going foreward). rolling backwards though put me right by the edge on the right side of the trail and tipped me up and to the right.

hahahaha i told you my skin turns red when my blood starts flowin haha. was kinda funny when you came running back to there you had this look on your face like "what happened, what i miss?"
