Hello Marlin Crawler Forum!!  I have been lurking here for awhile and over at Pirate and Yota tech some too.  This forum seems like the best for sound advice from people who know what they are talking about, not to say the other forums don't but Pirate especially is not very noob friendly from what I have seen and most tech questions get answered with search even if you have.  That being said I still believe Pirate is full of invaluable information, but so is this forum with much less attitude.
I am a Drafter for a Mechanical contractor here in Boise, hence the name.  I love 4 wheelin but haven't don't nearly enough in a long time.  I have definitely got the Toyota bug, currently I own a 92 SR5 V6 4X4 with 2 burned valves and a 07 Tacoma SR5 V6.  My 92 is bone stock for now, I have plans for it or I may fix the motor and sell it to fund a 1st gen project.  My 07 has a 3" lift and some 17" rims with 33" Cooper discoverer Mt's it also has a brush guard and nerfbars and tail light guards.  Its a total mall crawler but I love it, its to nice to mess up and cost me too much to go beat it up.  Anyways I just wanted to check in here and say hello to everyone. Have a  on me.

Thanks for the welcome.  I figured that I would go ahead and admit to the mall crawler off the bat and get it out of the way, lol.  I like it all nice and shiny and yes blingin the way it is, and ladies seem to as well  :yesnod:.  My 92 is going to either be built for trail and some light DD duties or just fixed and sold ???.  Seems like a 1st gen would just be and easier platform to begin with no SAS and such to deal with although my 92 is an exc and I am 6'3" so I still don't know what I am gunna do. :blah: I will get some pix up when I can.

Tallchevy

With as tall as you are, your better off with a 2nd gen ext-cab, 4Runner or keep the 92. I'm 5'6 & my 1st gen wasn't comfortable for me  :twocents:

I am 5'10 and my 2nd gen 4dr 4runner is almost cramped to me on leg room. I wish the seat went back 1 more notch. But I love the seats in it. I am a small guy so the buckets are great when you adjust them all the way tight. Or what ever you call that adjustment on the sides.

Welcome to  :turtle: ! Hope you get a lot of valuable info off this forum.gen project that Ive been working on (it seems) way to long. It was my first rig an had her in high school. Well, I dont think its exactly the same anymore. I think the only thing that might be origanal when I bought it, is maybe the frame. Anyway, I think this is the 3rd time I decided to put her back in the shop an make it a project again. Someday it will be on the trail. Im shootin for next your MCR. I guess well see. :beerchug:

:welcome: From Virginia.
Topar what part of VA are you in, I grew up in Richmond, Henrico county actually, my parents still live there and I visit them with my daughter once a year.  We always go to Virginia beach so that I can get a little surfing in before its back out here to the high desert of Idaho.

I live in Roanoke, VA. South west Virginia.  I have friends in Va Beach though usually try to go over once or twice a year.  I  used to do some surfing when I lived in Fl, Ca, and Hi.  Boards hanging in the garage being used as a shelf now

Yeah that sucks when your board just hangs in the garage, I have a skim board doing the same in my garage in Idaho.  Virginia beach is fun I really like it there, and so does my daughter.  Its the only time she gets to play in the ocean for a week.  I saw your truck in a thread the other day that is nice man, diggin the blue exo.

Thanks for the welcome  !The wheelin isnt bad its not like the con or moab but its good for what it is.  I guess it really depends on where u are from and what u like to do wheelin wise.  Boise is a great place to live I have been here 18 years now, Montana before for 2 years and grew up in Virginia, I love Idaho lots of great outdoor recreation out your door basically.
